This monastery is set on top of a hill and had three different chapels. We were lucky visiting this place when it was not busy.

It’s a very very beautiful Monastery. I like the reconstruction (90s - 2000s), it kept the ancient atmosphere (dating back to 11th century).

Kecharis is a very nice monastery complex to visit, but make sure you visit with a knowledgeable guide as the interesting bit is the history behind it and certain structures within it.

Amazing monastery that have 3 churches (Saint Grigor Church - is the biggest one , Surp Nshan Church and Katoghike Church). Outside the churches you can see the tombs of the late significant or well-known people during that era. No entrance to pay.

I went there with a group, so we had our bus. I don't know if there is a bus service from the near city but I saw a lot of bus in the area and in front of the Monastery entry there was a bus stop. When you will arrive... More
