We have been several times to visit foxton locks with friends. The festival, although small, is a great day out and we also really enjoyed the Christmas lights - although this was VERY crowded and the queue of cars was horrendous! If you intend to go, make sure you arrive VERY early to be able to park and avoid the... More

First ever narrow boat experience and Foxton Locks came after just two hours. Stunning scenery along the local canals and the flight of locks was a superb. Everybody came across as friendly and great camaraderie between boaters, walkers and tourists alike. British engineering at its best. Obviously the height of the flight of locks is not easy for wheelchairs but... More

A very enjoyable, interesting and informative visit that is excellent for families, however the food available at the public house is terribly overpriced and not at all palatable

A visit to Foxton Locks is a must do if you are in the area. Everyone is so friendly and there is so much to see. Bridge 61 is an absolutely excellent little pub and restaurant located at Foxton locks, with very friendly locals and a fantastic atmosphere, if you visit Foxton locks and do not drop in for a... This was always a favourite when we lived here in the 80s. Since then the paths and access to the incline plane have been restored. Very enthusiastic volunteers who will readily share the history and info on the later improvements. A nice walk with always something going on.

On a sunny but not too hot day it's very pleasant to go and have a walk around foxton locks. I hadn't been since I was on a school trip as a child so it was nice seeing it through fresh eyes. We paid to go on the little boat trip which was £4 per adult and £3 per child... More
