Good for a meander, get some coffee or donuts, look at the brick-a-brac and enjoy a slow Sunday. I bought a lovely hand knitted scarf. Lots of second hand books, toys and household items.

Visited on Saturday 29th February. There is not a lot to see after you have walked along the wharf area as most exhibts you need to pay to see inside.

On disembarking our cruise ship there was a band playing on the quay to greet us whilst outside the immediate port area there were a host of volunteers assisting the Metro staff to welcome and help us.
Some stopped the traffic so we could cross the road for the train into Adelaide and others had train tickets in their possession to alleviate us having to queue at the crowded ticket booth.
They were so friendly and welcoming and gave us a brilliant start to our day; we couldn’t have wished for better.
The return train tickets cost 10AUD each for the half hour journey into Adelaide and the trains ran every 30 minutes.
Thank you to all the lovely people who greeted and helped us; please be assured that we really appreciate your welcome and the generous giving of your time.
We were so impressed with your kindness.

The riverside walk is clean & wide & great to walk along. Do cross by the bridge & go along to the old mill: the other half of the port often gets missed.
The City of Adelaide restoration project is well worth a visit.
There are plenty of cafes & bars & a few nice boutiques in the area too.

I found it very interesting, sadly my wife found it a bit dull - but then I enjoy looking at old buildings and she doesn't! Good to see the place being redeveloped and historic buildings being well-maintained.

We only had time for a short visit midweek and the place was very quiet - so can't comment beyond the 1/2 hr we had to walk along the quayside and its surroundings and whether weekends are perhaps a bit more lively.

How is this an attraction?!?

It's just a walk way in a terrible suburb I was told to visit and kept getting harassed by homeless people and crack heads!

The lighthouse and markets are excellent nearby attractions, but the docks and waterside doesn't really have much to offer for visitors. It's nice for a walk on a good weather day, but that's about it. Most of the history of the area is now contained in the maritime museum.

This is a great place to walk along and see the old buildings of Port Adelaide. Pity many have been demolished but the ones they have restored or are in the process of restoring are beautiful. There are now a few cafes and playgrounds making it a wonderful spot for family outings or friend sot meet up. A gorgeous little cafe is the Hart Collective where great food and coffee is available. This is a fantastic little spot overlooking the port and on the day we visited we saw 3 dolphins. Parking is not a problem.

There was nobody, but only myself, strolling the docks. It was sunny and peaceful on Tuesday around the lunch time. Nearby cafes were very quiet, too.
