Bang Nam Phueng Market So GooD
Oct 2020 • Family
It is a market that has a wide variety of products for sale, such as food, desserts, vegetable gardens, and OTOP products made from herbs. There are activities such as fishing for tourists to participate in. I can go for a walk. the weather is not very hot And most importantly, the products at Bang Nam Phueng Market are not very expensive.

Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market is located in Phra Pradaeng District Samut Prakan Province There are many shops in the market. Selling local food, both savory and sweet and OTOP products from people in Bang Nam Phueng community and nearby sub-districts in Samut Prakan Province The market is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. When I go, I really like this place. There is a wide variety of food and lots of clothes or plants. Plus very economical.

A Most Unique Market
Feb 2020 • Solo
This is truly a gem of a market. It’s a local attraction and enjoys favorability with weekender Thai couples, families and small groups visiting. The number of Western tourists is demonstrably small giving it an atmosphere of “authenticity”. I was fortunate to have it included on a bike tour with Nai, my guide from Spice Roads.

It has the usual variety of booths selling fresh produce, plants and myriad opportunities to purchase fried and grilled food. It also has many unique booths. One can find Siamese fighting fish for sale,
unusual retail items and there is a sling shot competition area in which competitors can fire their seeds/stones at strings of soup cans that have been hung up as targets.

When in Bangkok it’s a must to do on the list. But a long way lots of traffic and tourist souvenirs. But the foods good especially the fruit. The boat ride is good and crowded but that’s this place. Worth a visit

Interesting and friendly

Visited on a Sunday morning whilst on a cycle tour. Very good value food, and lots of interesting stalls. Bought a varied selection including a granite pestle (broke my old one) pearl earrings, coconut pancakes, fried banana and sweet potato. Delightful small market with plenty of stalls, immaculately clean and great place to have a drink and relax whilst exploring this wonderful area.

Nice market
Oct 2019 • Solo
This place seems to be an example of a market which was originally purely for locals but which morphed onto a local market with hordes of tourists walking through snapping photos. There is still that local feel however, and if the food smells wafting about don't excite your taste buds, then go eat a bowl of cheerios. Food here is awesome and well priced. Go hungry!

Interesting to see
Mar 2019
I read a lot of reviews so I was excited to see it. I was disappointed when I actually saw it. I never saw anyone buy anything from the vendors. It is actually easier to buy from a street vendor than it is to buy from someone while everyone is waiting for you to make a purchase on your boat. It was fun to get outside of Bangkok and see a different part of Thailand.

Hungry? Come here
Apr 2019 • Friends
Want to enjoy cheap food and dive into typical busy and relaxing noisy market? Take the effort and come here. Rent a bike at one of the ferry stations (50 Baht for whole day) and sneak along to the market. A variety of foods, drinks and typical souvenirs await you. Looking for spices, sea food and karaoke? Just stop by. Free toilets well maintained inclusive. Maybe bring someone who can speak and read Thai, almost all signs are not in English.

Minus 1 point for the water pollution full of plastic trash. Ugh!

Good times, Cheap Shopping
Feb 2019 • Couples
We hired Nina (cell # +66 081 553 4209) as our tour guide during our tour of the floating market and was very well pleased with her services and knowledge of the place. She let us taste different foods authentic from Thailand and also made sure we enjoyed the views and shopping in the floating market! We were so astonished as how those boats can fit in that space and also the business happening in those boats. It’s amazing to see and experience the floating market! You must try the different delicacies being prepared and sold. Shopping is a totally cool and different experience. You must always haggle at least start your haggling price 50% off the price first quoted by the vendor. Be firm and don’t show that you are way to eager to buy the item. You did get a great bargain if you get the item at least 40% off the first quoted price. If you are buying several items, wait until you get all desired items before haggling. Once again don’t go above 65% of the price first given by the vendor. If you don’t get it, just remember, there are plenty more places to get your item.

Big open market & park
Feb 2018
It’s a huge place. If you cycle and like outdoors, at the same time get to savour a Thai food, buy fresh produce, handmade stuff and many others, this is a place for you. Even if you don’t cycle, there’re paid motorcycle service which can ferry you around. Rental bikes at bht50/hour.
