This is the most luxurious tomb I've ever visited. It will be a pity in life if you do not go to Hue and visit this place. I was given a lot of historical information and biography of King Khai Dinh by one local guide....More

This tomb was built less than a century ago by the French in an ornate would be Asian style. The use of concrete in the construction makes it all the more hideous that it has blackened over time.

Our guide in Hue recommended we stop here on the way to the Imperial City. The first place we'd stopped at was underwhelming, so we thought we might want to bypass this go straight to the IC, which was the main reason for our daytrip...More

I read that this tomb was modern and made of concrete. Whilst austere outside. The inside is beautifully decorated with mosaics. It is built on a hill and has two flights of steep steps. It is small and compact in comparison to other tombs. It...More

Ornate, excessive opulence. Worth seeing, a bit appalling that the emperor raised taxes on the Vietnam people by 30% for 11 years to pay for this monument but worth seeing!

It is located on a steep hill in Chau Chu Mountain. The tomb is a blend of western and eastern architecture. Its surface area is much smaller than the tombs of his predecessors. However, the building itself is far more elaborately designed than others of...More

Great to visit. Bit of a climb up the steps. Particularly easy to visit if you go to Princess Huyen centre and or Minh Manh tomb.

I have been there 9 years ago and now came back again with a business trip to create the private inbound tour for foreigners. All the feeling is same as before but something is different because of age. To remember one of the Great Kings...More

Totally amazing experience, flamboyance in the extreme! Lots of flights of steps to tomb but manageable, exquisite views, tomb has indescribable beauty, immense work of art in ceramic decoration , not to be missed

This tomb is very beautiful, the inside is covered in mosaics. There a quite a few steps but well worth a visit. Apparently the tomb took 11 years to build & Khai Dinh was not a popular emperor because he raised taxes to fund his...More

All the tombs are near each other and to Hue city, at most 10-15km each leg. We paid 550k for a driver to take us to three tombs and wait 30min for us at each, about 3 hours total.
