Wine tour visit. Approx 20 people.
We were on a wine tour visit and Lancaster Wines was sold as the main event where we would spend an hour and have wine tastings plus a cheese platter. The entrance to the winery was lovely with its tree lined driveway but we arrived to a humpy tin shack amongst the vineyard. The weather was 42 degrees that day and though that is not the venues fault, it should definitely only be a spring or autumn venue.

We arrived to two reserved tables that were two warped slabs of timber balanced on two warped old wine barrels, only a few stools to sit on. You could not even gently lean on the table without it wobbling dangerously and staff told us not to lean on the tables. We had a staff member come to the two tables and address only one with her back to the other about the wine she was pouring. She came over and poured a splash in each glass and left at least 6 tour members out until one of the tour members spoke up and says she had missed so many. The rest of the wine tasting consisted of an ice bucket with 3 bottles of white wine dumped on one table with no staff member to be seen. The platter we were supposed to have was a coles quality single platter bought out to one table. Enough for maybe 3 - 5 people. 15 minutes later another came out to the other table and again for only 3-5 people. Poor venue and should not be on a wine tour destination. The sparkling wine was quite nice though but the chipped and sharp wine glasses were not good enough.

Booked an Argentinian rib special with glass of wine and blind wine tasting offered with quiz on the promotional flyer. It was a fiesta weekend in the valley
The office we were told on arrival was supposed to email and text to tell us to bring chairs /blanket and say could arrive by 4.30. The original definition was that it started at 6 pm. We got there and it was packed out people already with no winery tables or chairs Well it was an outside venue and cold at 6 pm and we had no chairs. Luckily one employee went to his car and got his for us to use . The queue for the food was terrible . The ribs were tough and cold which is useless as the fat congeals and the salad medium quality . We stayed for one drink and left. The music was as my partner put it like a borehole pump beat
Terrible waste of money. Even at 6 pm one wine glass selection was sold out . Not good enough

Swan Valley Wine Tour stop and enjoyed this more rustic vineyard with small tour group and young host buzzing around managing our group and a couple of other tables, young Angus did pretty well. The wines provided in tasting were all pretty decent and the cheese platter was great.
Not a bad first off Swan tasting experience if you don't mind.

Glad we stopped into this winery. It's rustic and relaxing. They had a variety of Reds, Whites, Sparking, Rosé and fortified wines. Whilst it was a bit chilly, we were rugged up and sat by the firepit with a decent grazing platter and their delicious Old Vine Shiraz.
Staff were friendly and attentive, but not in your face.
This place has charm and a lot of history from what we were told.
Definitely recommend.

Enjoyed wine tasting from bar by pleasant young lady (blue luminous shoes) lol. We all joked about it. Her fellow taster was pleasant too. We bought 2 bottles and consumed one on premises. Can make your own cheese platter as accompaniment if you wish. Good idea. Bit disappointed they didn’t have red wine we wanted but one we had was really good and other we have yet to drink. Needed toilet at one point and met a man who seemed to work there and when asked where toilet was his reply was quite gruff. Okay maybe he’d had a bad day so no big deal. Will return and recommend.

This 'tasting room' is basically, a tin shed in the middle of the vines with some shady structures. Sounds underwhelming but was very pleasant on a hot summer's day. We tasted their sparkling, chenin blanc and verdelho, a rose and a delightful sticky shiraz. They also had some cheese and biscuits on offer by Tuart Diary & the pepper cheddar was particularly good. A good place to stop.

This used to be a gem of a place but visited today and what a disappointment. Choice of wines isn't great, now charge for certain ones and had music playing that was very inappropriate, when mentioned this, the lad smirked as if to say I don't care. Will give the place another chance but family who visited didn't think much of it

Visited Lancaster as part of the Out and About wine tour and really enjoyed it. Had an accompanying cheese platter with a wonderful selection of wines in gorgeous outdoor surroundings. A perfect way to spend an afternoon or go and have some lunch. The staff were very friendly and the wines were really good.

Originally visited a few months ago on a helicopter wine tour. As we were visiting the Swan Valley again we had to drop in for some wonderful bubbles and red. A gorgeous view of their vineyards and a great selection of cheese and meat available. We love it there!! Their staff are friendly and as bubbly as their sparkling!! Both times we have had wonderful experiences and will return again.

We visited this winery as third on our bus tour on 17/11/2012. Sandalfords first - great & very professional as always, Jane Brook second - again very friendly with wonderful wines & excellent ambience. Then came " The Lancaster" -Terrible. We were a bus of 40 people with an average age of 50+ - many in their 70's. We had paid for a one hour wine tasting with cheese - which was forgotten by staff until reminded. Next the staff asked us to leave 25 mins. before our allotted time as they had more tours coming in + daytrippers . Unfortunately our tour bus had developed a problem involving a wait of 45 mins. for a replacement to arrive from the depot. The 40 of us were then instructed that we would have to wait outside - IN 34C HEAT! The staff refused us any refreshment & provided no seating or caring with regard to the older visitors. Their manner was arrogant & customer service was zero. Other patrons were astounded - including another tour bus operator. None of us will ever recommend this winery to anyone.
