We weren’t sure what to expect as it was so last minute and one of the only areas we could still visit. Wow how impressed we were. The lodge is stunning, it’s new and top spec. The hot tub was wonderful and we really enjoyed a relaxing break. Having the gym onsite was also an extra bonus. The park is obviously being upgraded and it’s being done very well. Thankyou

Just returned from a 3 night break and stayed in the aspen lodge. First of all can I say the lodge was absolutely beautiful, the view and the hot tub was just amazing. I can honestly say I don’t think I will find a better log cabin for the price and how nice it actually was, it was stunning!! The weather whilst we were there was lovely which made us make use of the hot tub especially at night 😍 the hot tub was big enough to fit 4 people in and had a nice light in which made it more relaxing in the dark. The log cabin was super spacious and had everything you need eg: pans, cutlery, plates, cups etc they even provided a welcome hamper with like bread, biscuits, jam, crisps which was a lovely touch. The decorations within the lodge itself were so good that I actually felt like I was at home, if I could of stayed longer I would of. There was a hairdryer, 2 dressing gowns with slippers which they provided, shampoo conditioner and soap in both the bathrooms. The heating was perfect, always nice and warm and could adjust if too hot or needed it lower. A nice fire below the tv which was even a better touch because we felt so relaxed watching tv at night with this on. The beds were surprisingly comfty (probably comfier than my bed at home haha) so had 3 great night sleeps. Bedrooms very spacious and had plenty of storage, had a place for everything. 2 sofas which helped as me and my partner had 1 sofa each and soooooo comfty, I could lie on them all day long if I could. Location was very good too. It was a weekend of just pure relaxation really but we still booked to go for food at an Italian nearby which was lovely (Zitto emangia), town was a 10 minute drive away which had everything, aldi, Tesco, Poundland, boots, everything you would find in any town really so very handy. A couple of pubs in the town too. Cheltenham 25 mins away which we went on the last day and had dinner out and did an Xmas shop. So all in all location was great. Overall the lodge was perfect from the inside and from the out. I just wish we had stayed longer and I’m back home now and absolutely gutted. What a lovely break away and I would like to thank all the staff at Croft farm to make it the best stay we could of asked for. Lovely women on reception too which couldn’t be more helpful.

After watching the Croft Water Park win my favourite show Four in a bed I had to make a booking! I was not disappointed! The park itself is beautiful and the lodges were great! We stayed in Cherry, there was a slight issue with the sofa bed which the team sorted within the hour so very pleased! Could not fault our stay and so worth the money! I defo recommend hiring a Pedlo to go around the lake it was soon calming and great to take in all the views from the site! Already planning my next trip next year! Thanks for a great stay Croft Farm Water Park!

We stayed in Aspen Lodge on the Croft Farm Waterpark site and it was absolutely lovely, the lodge had everything we wanted although the beds could’ve definitely been better. The park itself is really quiet and peaceful and you feel like you have your own private space despite there being quite a few lodges/caravans there. We also had our own hot tub which was incredible and added that little bit of extra luxe. They offer water sports activities on the lake which are super fun although not cheap, would definitely advise to bring your own wetsuit if you own one as there is a hire fee as well as the fee for the kayak/paddle board etc. Overall we had an amazing time and the park is great location for day trips to the Cotswolds, Malvern hills etc. Highly recommend!

Thanks for your 5 star review and also your understanding of the difficult time that caravan and accommodation parks are having to deal with.

Firstly it is not what I would class as a water park. There is a medium pond / small lake with opportunity to hire some Kayaks or Paddle boards etc but 20 minutes would see you around it at a leisurely pace. A few people during the day had a paddle including us but mainly the water sits un used apart from by the swans. The Shop is non existent unless you want to buy a Kayak at the Watersport shop that is, and reading other reviews it possibly has never existed on site. The 'Club House' is a small temporary looking building which only opens on a Friday and Saturday evening so don't expect a bar on site all week or somewhere for a meal or light entertainment. The toilet blocks are cleaned maybe twice a day during covid and the bins next to them are overflowing despite being emptied 2 days ago and rubbish all around on the floor, staff drive past on the mover all day and tend to ignore this. No recycling by shower block thats at main entrance but the 1 and only toilet disposal is at the bottom of the back field??? The toilet and shower block is a temporary type building with 2 showers, 2 loos and 2 sinks with a roof riddled with cobwebs, spiders (squished or alive) and bogies. The floor is slightly grassy and muddy and could be better if cleaned or checked. Frequently. The sinks which there are 3 outside to wash up are never cleaned and full of grass and the last 100 meals dumped into them. There is No path on the main road and also 3 miles to the nearest town, you also cannot walk along the river as each side of the water park is privately owned land and unless you cross it by bridge 3 miles up or down in direction which you have to drive too, the path on the other side is inaccessible. So you need go drive to get out and about basically as not much to do here. Do note mobile signal is minimal and 0 WiFi so browsing things to do is also not so great. The pitches are not rotated just closest to field entrances used first, so plenty of lush green unused pitches and plenty of used pitches with dead and little grass and the sound from the m5 is noticeable even in the back field. Overall its OK, if you come for a few nights with all your own facilities and places to visit already arranged its not too bad. In the last 8 years of camping trips this is the first I wouldn't re book. Had a great time locally with things to see and do just would book an alternate site locally. The campers here however are friendly and great sense of humour and have plenty of gripes you hear from pitches all day if stay on site, and the complaints they've made that haven't been adhered too.

Response from CroftFarm, Owner at Croft Farm Water Park

I have to correct this review....... Croft Farm Water Park has been established since 1985 and is very well known throughout the UK. Visitors come from far and wide to make use of the excellent water sports lake but we also cater for many local guests. The water sports centre has a reputation of providing first class tuition and hire in sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddle boards, kayaking and other group activities such as raft building. We operate an activity centre with the ability to accommodate up to two hundred children a week. So whilst Darren might have seen the lake on a quiet day his suggestion that the water "sits unused" is completely wrong and actually something of an insult. The shop is non-existent is clearly stated on our website:- "We don’t have a grocery shop on site as supermarkets are located close by in Tewkesbury. There are also near-by convenience stores in Bredon and Mitton." So I suggest that in future Darren reads a Parks website before complaining about the facilities that are not available. Similarly the Club house opening times are clearly stated as only being open at weekends in September and how the Club House can be described as "small and temporary" is just astonishing ridiculous. There is a large bar area, a lovely cafe and only this season we have extended the club house with a new 1000 sq ft decking area with retractable roof. The toilets are cleaned regularly which when busy means three times a day and during less busy times you are correct in suggesting twice a day. We do expect our guests to help out with being respectful by helping to keep the facilities clean. I accept there was some rubbish on the floor due to some lazy campers not able to open the lid of the skip and I dealt with that myself. Our re-cycling is by reception but is that such a hardship to take your empty bottles to the bottle bank on the way out?? There is nothing temporary about the toilet block, it is a purpose built facility with sufficient toilets and showers for the number of pitches on site particularly with the other toilet and shower blocks we have that are clearly marked on the site map. The floor does get a little muddy but as we are a water sports centre unless you had a member of staff clearing up after every time someone enters the building then that is going to happen. During Covid 19 some customers are pleased with how we have kept the site clean and tidy, others seem to think we have a duty to clean their backsides! My cleaning staff do a good job but if we have missed something we are always prepared to go back and rectify the situation rather than reading about it on a social media review when the opportunity to resolve is passed. The sinks are cleaned at the same time as the toilets and showers but it only takes one inconsiderate camper to not clean up and the sinks become a mess again. I shall put some signs up next year asking for the sinks to be left clean after use. Darren is correct in stating no footpath on the main road but exaggerates the distance, it is about one and a half miles into town. Darren is wrong in terms of mobile signal, most networks are good or at least OK. We don't publicise Wifi is available so sorry Darren you have to use your data like I do. The reason the grass is worn near the entrance is because they are near the lake with electric hook up so they are bound to be showing some wear, I think that is reasonable. I think Darren is only the second person in 35 years to mention any noise from the M5!!! Glad Darren had a great time locally but all he has done is be completely negative about my Park so I am sincerely pleased he won't be coming back. Finally to inform him that all the gripes he listened to don't seem to have affected the bookings for next year. We all know campers like to have a moan but I can assure him that Croft Farm is well appreciated by the silent majority. Alan
