Took the Doolin Express to Inis Oirr and Cliffs of Moher as part of Galway Tours excursion. The staff was very friendly and professional. On the ride back to Doolin from Inis Oirr, the waters were very rough but the staff was calm and reassuring....More
Very friendly staff. It was very windy the day we went on our boat ride. The water was pretty rough riding out to the cliffs but very smooth on the way back. You could sit outside or in an enclosed area. If it is windy...More
Since 1994 I have been enjoying the boat trips with my guests with the Company of Bill O'Brien, a great Company. i work as a tourguide.
Either I take the Cliff tour with them, or I visit the beautiful island of Inisheer. It is a...More
Travelled over in fairly calm weather--i.e. waters were not nearly as rough as they could have been and still crossed-- yet it was difficult boarding. The ramp is missing a wheel at the end so it tips, add to that any ship movement (which is...More
My sister and I decided to visit Inis Oirr with our small children in March 2019. The kids are aged between 12 months and 30 months which made me a little nervous about how we would manage the crossing safely. To be honest, I booked...More
Fantastic journey, affordable, such kind people. I had a blast just waiting for the ferry. I also met crew on board who gave me lots of tips for travel on the islands etc. Hi Eileen! Thank you for the chocolate. ;) See you guys next...More
One of the young guys with the grey hoodie was amazing and I wanted to tip him but I was too sick and the bus was leaving us but I will say that the waters were rough and I shouldn’t have eaten before the tour...More
Let me start by saying the point of doing the tour was to see the cliffs of Moher from below and they are stunning and would recommend anyone who wants to see this to do a tour of this nature.

As others have pointed out, there is a large parking lot at the ferry terminal and you can park overnight. The spaces are numbered and there is a pay box located near the entrance to the parking lot. After you have found your parking space, walk over to the pay box; it costs 5 euros for overnight parking and is best to have coins ready. Then place the parking receipt on the dashboard of the car. Leave yourself some time before the ferry departure to get the parking receipt; although it was not crowded on the day we took the ferry, because someone in line for the pay machine had trouble with it, it took longer than I expected. The offices for the ferry lines are on one side of the parking lot, and there are portable toilets near the dock.
If it is raining or if the seas are a bit rough, take your bags inside the cabin with you or put them in plastic bags, since luggage may be stowed on the deck and can get wet. We didn't think of that and some of our clothes got damp from waves splashing over the deck. Have a good trip!

Thank you for your questions and apologies for the delay. It is indeed best to reserve ahead to secure your spaces on the ferry. The 10:00 am sailing in particular does indeed book up at this time of year in July and August. If you must make any adjustments to your reservation after the fact that is no problem, we can accommodate you for that as well.
Hope that helps you out and you can email info at doolinferry com also should you need anything further.
