We had such a lovely evening at the Doolin Music House! It was fascinating not just to to hear but to also learn something about the local styles of music, and also to hear stories about life in the Doolin area. We very much appreciated the opportunity to spend the evening here: thank you Christy, James, Sheila and Imelda!

This was the absolute best experience!!!! If you are wishing for an intimate evening of music and storytelling, this is for you! It was so lovely hearing about the area and history from a musical perspective. It was a magical evening! The hosts were so kind and we really enjoyed the experience!

We visited Doolin Music House during our Vagabond Driftwood Jigs & Reels Music Tour. Our visit began with a warm welcome into the Doolin Music House, with a peat fire burning and refreshments on hand, surrounded by artwork and large windows overlooking the green hills. Sheila, Christy and James are wonderful hosts. The music was spectacular. Our tour guide joined in with her fiddle, and man from Netherlands (I think? I forget) played a song on guitar as did one of my tourmates. Stories were told, wine was drunk, and delicious canapes were passed around. You can't beat this experience.

Art was presented last evening was spark and vigor. The story told with passion and love of the regional art was heart felt. Sheila was the perfect hostess which welcomed us into her home like family. Christy spun yarn after yarn of local heroes of a craft that kept dance alive in the region. Interludes of lovely music that were only interrupted by canapés and wine glasses. Twenty or so of us got to take this experience with us and we all if questioned would recommend such an evening.
