Beautiful and peaceful

Excellent paths and trails around the lake and into the woods. Swans and geese on the lake, fisher men in boats. Ruins and follies remain.

Beautiful Place
Sep 2020 • Couples
Stumbled across this walk after a recommendation from a friend (why is it not advertised more ?)
Beautiful walk around the lake, and a nice seat on the grass bank in the afternoon sunshine
So many swans and ducks on the lake, and a rowing boat with a fly fisher, very picturesque
Can highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend an hour or two in the open air. Walk is very easy, on hardcore gravel path so suitable and easily accessible for most users

Lovely place for a walk around the lake.

We had a lovely walk around the lake. The paths are well maintained so it's perfect if you have a buggy. There are also plenty of ducks and swans for the children to watch.

Beautiful place
Dec 2019 • Family
Beautiful easy walk which we always enjoy. Dogs must be kept on a leash as lots of swans in the lake.

We like to take a walk then into Saplinbrae for food then return. A place we return to over and over.

A Splendid Area
Aug 2019
This is a splendid area for a healthy walk, taking in the sights and sounds of the country. The loch area makes it.

Gorgeous Wee Gem

Absolutely beautiful place to walk, sit and watch the wild fowl, dog walk or just wander. The lake is lovely, teeming with wild birds, benches here and there, the temple is an interesting building.
