My son and I had traced my late fathers steps [during Operation Greenline] to his final resting place,here at Banneville.a beautiful calm and peaceful resting place for the brave men who gave their lives for us. Wet, but beautiful visit to this poignant memorial to pay tribute to my grandad's best friend. The site is well tended and majestic even in the rain. The gardener was helpful. So pleased to have been able to pay our respects. There is a plaque and visitors book and memorial to sit to contemplate. Respectful and thought provoking. Thank you... More

Came to visit my beloved Grandad's brother who fell here and is remembered here. Beautiful and peaceful place and well looked after

We came here to find a friend of my fathers who died during the liberation of France in 1944. Geoffrey Cleverley came from Wiltshire and joined at the same time as Dad. After training and some UK based tasks, they went for assignment and Geoff went into tanks and Dad went into the RASC as a 3 ton tipper driver.... More

Was tracing a Malay Pilot who was shot down by the name of Henry Tallala, the cemetery was so peaceful and perfect, not one blade of grass out of place. Many thanks to the CWGC
