My husband and I are not birdwatchers but were recommended to visit this site and walk to the beach. We did, and it is a wonderful place. Variety of habitats and the view from the beach across Poole Harbour is great. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff from the RSPB encouraged us to look out for particular birds and butterflies. Great cafe... More

Wonderful are to visit to see all manner of wildlife such as deer, birds etc. Fabulous scenery and walks, with the added bonus to sample great food at the new restaurant or to visit the well stocked RSPB shop.

RSPB Arne is one of the most incredible reserves I have visited and I have even recommended BBC Springwatch film there next year! There is a small building when you first arive in the car park with very warm friendly people you to welcome you, let you know what sightings there have been recently and a free map to follow.... Worth every penny of the £2.50 car parking (although free if RSPB member). Some lovely walks and the staff at the information centre are super friendly and helpful. We did the green walk which took 2 hours including a few photo stops! On this walk we saw it all...woodland, heathland and beach, not to mention the wildlife! We didn't try... More

Whether or not you like birds and wildlife there's something about the Arne countryside. Heathland, woodland, views across Poole harbour and across to Corfe Castle. It is a beautiful place. With regards to birds, reptiles, sika deer and general wildlife - fill your boots! So much to see. Spot the somewhat elusive Dartford Warblers and if you can spare a... More

We visited RSPB Arne last Tuesday and it was under an hours drive from where we were staying in Boscombe. Along the coast though Poole and Wareham there is this beautiful area of unspoilt countryside that is home to Arne which was established 50 years ago to look after the Dartford Warbler a tiny bird and there are about 52... I recommend this as a good place to visit for the day. Even if like us you don't see many birds the walks are lovely and not too taxing for less able people. The views on a clear day are also wonderful, both over the water and land. Whilst there is a new cafe there I would recommend taking a... More

Arne always has so much to offer at any time of year, it had poured with rain all morning but brightened up in the afternoon and we saw a variety of birds. I had booked a 2 hour private walk with a warden, This is £50 but the money goes back to Arne and you get off the beaten track... More

A walk that takes in everything that nature can give you and at the end of it an amazing view of Poole Harbour, easy on the legs if you are a bit wobbly. Well worth the visit.
