An amazing secluded little beach at the end of a nice, countryside walk. Overlooks Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. All this for the cost of a £3 parking ticket. Recommended to all.

We used to love walking around Arne and watching wildlife and many different birds Since the filming of autumn Watch is has become far too busy, lots of noisy people many with dogs, the hides are full the paths are busy. Even the overflow car park gets full, such a shame, guess it will only get worse after Winter Watch... More

Perhaps we were there at the wrong time. We went on December 29th arriving at 10.37. We had to park in the overflow car park, so it was busy. I think the noise from the visitors probably scared the birds away. There were lots of people walking, talking and children running and shouting. We have nothing against that but it... More

We visit Arne regularly with my two young children and always find it an absolute joy. There are a series of trails varying in length. The shipstal trail down to the beach gives you great views of Pooles natural harbour and its larger islands. Birdwatching and free watching are fantastic. The new cafe is now a great addition and after... More

We walked from Wareham to Arne and called into the RSPB shop and cafe. The cafe was quite busy but we found a seat in the window. They offer light meals as well as hot and cold drinks and cakes. You have to order and pay at the counter and they make the drinks whilst you wait. The staff were... More

Miles of marked trailways across the heath and down to the harbour edge. Great café and shop across the road from the car park. Great place to visit at any time of the year.

The walks are splendid. Loads of scenery and some truly spectacular wildlife at all times of the year. There seems to be a lot less people in the winter which will probably suit wildlife fanatics. The cafe is spotlessly clean and offers reasonable fare but the decaf coffee is a little bitter. The shop is stocked with large amounts of... More

This is a lovely nature reserve managed by the RSPB. There's lots of bird life and some really scenic views. It can be really busy especially thanks to its new found Autumnwatch fame. Although there is great bird life I found it was mostly some way from the hide which was a little disappointing. If you want to see Poole... More

Arne is a small reserve with some excellent views across water and marshes with an abundance of bird life and near guaranteed views of herds of Sika deer. We were lucky to see large numbers of spoonbill, pintail and avocet plus lots and lots of waders and other wildfowl. You can easily walk around the reserve in two hours along... More
