I visited Arne with my 9yr old son after joining the RSPB late last year. After seeing Arne on BBCs Winter watch we were keen to visit to see all the wildlife. The reserve is set on the edge of Poole harbour and is so peaceful and full of wildlife to see and photograph. We saw lots of Sika Deer... More

A very wet day after crowds the previous day but all staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the man in the hide who was able to answer all our questions and more! Good scope and binoculars also available and charts to identify all birds seen. Great walk through the very damp landscape. Lots to be seen from the hide.

OK perhaps better times of the year to visit this attraction - but even in January the walks around the woods down to the water was well worth it. I did two walks the 'red' route followed by the Coombe Heath walk. You come here for the walking and bird watching - frankly i am not a bird watcher but... More

As an RSPB volunteer I helped at Arne when BBC Winterwatch was being made. The walks at Arne are really beautiful even in poor weather .Its an excellent place for all the family to be together and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. The views are breathtaking across the water, with numerous wadding birds to see Easy walks with... More

Fabulous scenery in a beautiful, remote setting. Excellent for walking, relaxing and enjoying the wildlife. Views over the adjoining Poole Harbour are idyllic. The RSPB provides excellent visitor facilities

An amazing secluded little beach at the end of a nice, countryside walk. Overlooks Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. All this for the cost of a £3 parking ticket. Recommended to all.

We used to love walking around Arne and watching wildlife and many different birds Since the filming of autumn Watch is has become far too busy, lots of noisy people many with dogs, the hides are full the paths are busy. Even the overflow car park gets full, such a shame, guess it will only get worse after Winter Watch... More

Perhaps we were there at the wrong time. We went on December 29th arriving at 10.37. We had to park in the overflow car park, so it was busy. I think the noise from the visitors probably scared the birds away. There were lots of people walking, talking and children running and shouting. We have nothing against that but it... More

We visit Arne regularly with my two young children and always find it an absolute joy. There are a series of trails varying in length. The shipstal trail down to the beach gives you great views of Pooles natural harbour and its larger islands. Birdwatching and free watching are fantastic. The new cafe is now a great addition and after... More
