Amazing dog walking location

Had a fab dog walk here. Loads of routes to take and lots to see on the walk meaning you could go loads of times and see different things. Parking was £1.40 for 2 hours.

The receptionist at our hotel recommended we visit and I have to say she was not wrong! It's a lovely place - great walk around the lake and an amazing ice-cream! We were very lucky with the weather too which always helps. Lots of other people about, all enjoying the sunshine. Worth noting that they charge for car-parking but not... More

This is well worth a visit on a sunny day. Lots of open spaces and things to look at. I personally wouldn't travel too far to visit tho!

Nice place for a walk. A mixture of open grass and wooded walks. There is a small Lots of dogs, all the ones we met were well behaved. House / castle not open to public. Cafe served nice snacks.

I love this castle - it has little nooks and has great light for photos. I only wish it had really good upper class shopping facilities so we could spend all day there. They could do so much with this place. For now I'll enjoy walking taking in the beautiful views.

This place has some lovely walks starting at the large car park which unfortunately has pay and display machines which rarely seem to work. We explore the place regularly and whilst it can get very muddy we just go prepared. The dogs love the lake and we always end up in the cafe for a chip butty.
