Cregennan Lakes provide a stunning and tranquil setting, off the beaten track. A great place to picnic and/or walk in picturesque surroundings. A good place to sit and contemplate and soak up the natural environment. Good parking. Don't be put off by the long, single...More

Visited here yesterday and must say the whole area is stunning. Choice of two walks on the national trust information board. Half of the longer one on the road and then a turn to the left for a climb, steep in places, up the hill...More

Absolutely beautiful place - we had a lovely drive through and a great walk up one of the mountains - gorgeous views. We will go back with a picnic when it warms up!

Wow! Having found this place it was the highlight of our day. Accessed via National trust land and single track roads with a number of cattle grids and gates, it's worth the trip to the lake. The scenery is stunning and as it was early...More

Stunning scenery and views well worth the drive up the single lane winding road and gates. Can be a bit windy so make sure have decent clothing to keep warm, and good footwear if your going for a walk or climb.

We stayed at Graig Wen & The Slate Shed accommodation, very close by, in Arthog. We were in a cottage but they do have camping pitches, some with electric hook ups. It's a lovely place, Sarah, the owner is lovely.
