Beautiful but slightly forgotten
Dec 2019
Large temple complex that has sadly not been kept up-dated. we decided to visit and climbed the many stairs up. once up there is a small shack where the local monk lives, a few biuldings and the temple which was not open, as the top there is a smapp shrine attened by the locals.

The ponds are overgrown as are the many statues but it worh a look as the views are beautiful.

Huge but not well maintained
Jan 2020 • Friends
The location is just across the Khao Takiab Temple and easily accessible by the green songthaew. The temple area is huge but not so well maintained. Noticeably, the wild grass and the seemingly abandoned ponds half way to the top. However, the place was quite clean with toilet and running clean water. There were no monkeys here compared to some we found at Khao Takiab temple.

Tranquil parallel Kailaaśa
Jun 2019 • Friends
Named after the sacred mountain Kailaaśa in the Himaalaya, this temple complex offers good panoramic views of the surrounding areas - both the sea and the hills. The architecture is subdued and tasteful, and the hill is dotted by kuTis, monastic dwellings that suggest it having been used as a meditation Wat. Overall a worthy short pilgrimage.

Quiet and interesting to stroll around

A typical Thai temple worth a visit if you are in Hua Hin. It is near the fish market also worth a visit!

Beautiful Temple Atop a Mountain
Oct 2017
It is quite a hike to reach this temple but it is well worth it. I went mid morning and virtually had the whole place to myself. It has an ancient feeling to it and appears almost abandoned at first glance, but this temple was the most authentic to me out of the many temples I saw in Thailand. The views from the top of the mountain were beautiful. You can see up and down the coast in all directions and even see other temples on neighboring mountains. There are so many different paths to explore and quiet places to reflect and meditate. There is even a Buddha shrine built into the side of the mountain. A must see!

Good views
Dec 2016 • Couples
Go here for the views. It's about 20 minutes away from Hua Hin (Centara Grand resort). Taxis are easily available. It's a bit of a long walk and many stairs to reach but the views are worth it! It could do with some maintenance.

Great view and peaceful ambience surrounding this temple. Feels a bit neglected and could do with maintenance.
