Worth a visit if you have some extra time and are interested in getting a great sweeping view of Hua Hin ! Nothing else
Feb 2021
Great views of the Hua Hin coastline. The temple itself is like many others you may have see in Thailand. Lots of monkeys so if you are not comfortable with them around, best to avoid

Wish we had visited earlier as there is a lovely restaurant up here with a great view of Hua Hin. There is also a temple aro it is their home so can't mark this place down because of that. There are little shops also and if you come down the other side there are fishing boats. Worth a little visit

Went by Tuktuk from Huahin, lovely to see, steep walk up steps to temple and watch out for the monkeys (they will grab anything hanging loose)

This Hill at the South End of Hua Hin is good
Jan 2020
It is a nice visual the Hill at the South end of Hua Hin Beach and you can walk there,, we were staying like half way at Rajamangala Chom Kluein a Thai place i liked, and in the morning when it is cooler you can walk to Khao Ta-Kiab,, and another morning you can walk up all the way the other way to the Hilton and down town and out on the street is a public Tuk tuk for 10-15 BHT to get a ride back, you can also take it down to near Chopsticks Hill Khao Takiab and walk over, or one day we rented a scooter and went there

Vast temple interlocking hidden areas

Well you have to be prepared for plenty of steps not mad hard but there are steps. It is free just get a taxì here if you have no other form of transport. W e really enjoyed it It is not set up for tourists so you explore on your own . Take lots of 20 baht notes. In each stage if you give a little donation they give you a little gift or they did with us. Bananas a rice dish or a little bracelet
We preferred this to the big touristy formal temples. On one side is a wonderful lake near some great little restaurants if you need names ask me. On the other side a lovely empty beach at the other end another restaurant where the food and the fresh fish was delicious.

Trip to hua hin

I guess you have to visit, not much there, and climb to temple very steep, but donations help the lives of locals, monks and animals

Funny monkeys
Jan 2020
Depends were you are looking for if you visit this area. You will have a great view of Hua Hin from the top of the hill. Also the monkeys are hilarious.
The temple is not special. The area is kinda trashed by the monkeys. Also, visiting the temple will cost money, donate some money for a sarong, donate for the flowers you want to offer, donate here and there and you will leave a few bath lighter.

Steep steps and monkeys
Nov 2019
To mention it right from the start, if you’re afraid of steps and particularly of monkeys, avoid this place.
Have read some comments here mentioning “some” monkeys… well there are hundreds of them and some seem to be quite aggressive. During feeding by the monks, they battle with the dogs to grab some food!
Had my bag in one hand (not containing any kind of food) and my camera in the other hand, well one of this unfriendly ones tried to grab the bag.
About anywhere on the hill, pictures with wounds on people caused by monkeys are shown and this is certainly not exaggerated.
The other point to be considered are certainly some really steep steps which require a minimum of fitness also considering the heat.
Overall, this place is not very clean and several buildings are in disrepair. Remedy would certainly require important works and of course the necessary funds.

Totally over-rated
Dec 2019 • Solo
Difficult to locate and get to (even on a scooter). There was only about 5 or 6 people
There aside from the caretaker/merchant at the top. The place is old, dirty, not well maintained and completely over run with Monkeys. They stole a back pack futon one of the patrons and ripped it apart in search of food I presume. Better off buying a postcard or watching someone else’s video of the place
