- StevenBatu Ferringhi, Malaysia292 contributionsLocal art and craft market in Hua Hin.Probably our favourite market in Hua Hin. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Nice and spacious with plenty of spots to have a seat and take in the vibe. A bit more "upmarket" than the Hua Hin night market in town, and has more of a focus on stalls selling arts and crafts (paintings from local artists, jewellery, handicrafts, that sort of thing). There's also food stalls selling international fare; Thai, Korean BBQ, western etc as well as cold drinks. Very casual and relaxed. Definitely worth a visit.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 8, 2023

There is live music also in the evenings. For food many people visit the tamarind market which is nearby.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 14, 2023
- Nick HBath, United Kingdom121 contributionsGreat spot to spend an evening.Always a firm favourite place to spend an evening. Plenty of craft type stalls and huge selection of food. You need to buy coupons to purchase the food but any unused coupons can be returned for cash refund so not an issue. - Gartclash GirlGlasgow, United Kingdom559 contributionsLovely place for food and souvenirsLovely place for a visit and stroll round. Lots of arty stalls and cute souvenirs. Great food options and tables are cleared and cleaned regularly. Had a great time here buying souvenirs and having dinner and cocktails. No cash at most of the food stalls instead you pay with vouchers that you buy at the kiosks, you change any leftover vouchers back for cash.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 21, 2024
- Shayne3067Melbourne, Australia163 contributionsA must visit night market.Great night market, heaps of bargains, prices are a lot cheaper than Bangkok. I bought Ralph Lauren polo shirts at Bangkok market 2 for 1100 baht, cicada night market 2 for 600 baht. Plenty of stalls to choose from for bargains. Great food court with fresh cooked food.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 25, 2024

- kbharti101Mumbai, India50 contributionsMust Visit OnceGood entertainment. Not that great for shopping. Must go for the vibe. 3 live bands playing in Cicada. We enjoyed the main live band and performance. Food here was just ok. Cicada Market is right next to Tamarind market which has many options for great food. So overall a good area to go and chill.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 23, 2024
- AzRatArizona2,311 contributionsWeekend Night Market near Hyatt in Hua HinJune - 2024. Visited this weekend night market on several occasions while staying at nearby (50 meters walk) from the Hyatt Regency Hua Hin. Nice experience with plenty of food stall options, souvenirs, clothing, etc. Best part for me was chilling to the live music from several venues. Geared for tourists and priced accordingly of course - but many locals visit for the entertainment. Open FRI,SAT,SUN 1600-2300 hours, free admission, plenty of seating.Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 22, 2024
- gary25Gurugram (Gurgaon), India554 contributionsGood family time over wkend. If you are in Hua Hin over weekend by all means pls go here. Its a lovely set up of music, shopping and food. Very well planned and its perfect to enjoy an evening. We loved it. Highlight was multiple bands playing music from 90s. We didn't try the food but it looked very good. Decent shopping.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 16, 2024
- KyFlynnMunich, Germany1,992 contributionsCreative market with live musicCicada market is a bit outside of town, but you can also easily reach it either by TukTuk or the local bus (direction towards Khao Takiab). Officially the market opens at 4pm, but there’s not really a lot going on in the first hours as the vendors are still setting up their booths. There is a main area where you need pay for everything with coupons, which you can get at the booths near the entrances. If you got some of them left at the end, you can exchange them and get money back before you leave. There’s a stage where you can listen to music or watch magic shows, a flea market, an area where artists paint live, buy handmade goods and of course get drinks and food. I really enjoyed this market, as there are a lot of creative goods and listening to live music is always amazing! We really enjoyed this market and headed here as often as we could!Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 30, 2024

Large area for food stalls, which don’t accept cash (you need to buy coupons from a booth - note, if don’t use them all, get a refund on the night otherwise you’ll lose your money). There was a musician playing guitar/singing and a band playing interesting looking instruments (really good). The area for craft stalls was quite small and even taking a slow walk around, we finished looking within about 40 minutes. The stalls themselves were selling good quality items but prices looked expensive. A nice way to spend an hour or two especially if you want to eat but not as good as we were expecting.

Visited the market as it was recommended and found it a bit disappointing. Lots of varied items for sale at what we thought were inflated tourist prices. We asked for prices fir a couple of items and much to our shock we realised that we could by similar in the UK for less.
Went to Tamarind market after fir a bite to eat. Food prices slightly inflated and we had some great BBQ ribs for 200 baht. Other stuff we bought to eat was cold as we imagined it had sat around between cooking and selling. Unlikely we will ever go again.

This is a fairly artsy market with many paintings and crafts. It is nice to walk around for about 30mins but that's about it. Stalls are always the same though without much change from several years of visiting. Food here is expensive compared to similar nearby options so we do not eat here.

Good choice of craft stalls selling a wide variety
of clothes, jewellery, shoes , souvenirs & arts. Not a market where you barter. Good entertainment and a live show. Wide selection of food stalls but would recommend the Tamarind food market next door to eat. About 4K from Centre of town so 150 baht. 1 visit is enough.

Just south of Hua Hin you find this market selling mainly local produced handicrafts and arts. You find also a big food court where a huge variety of food can be bought from multiple food stalls. Quality of food is good although a bit pricey. Can recommend to visit this please, but come early as it get crowded during the evening.

The night-time Cicada market is right next to a food market. Spend a while here roaming the stalls put up by artisans and you are sure to find unique gifts. Some of the items may be found in the malls too, but some were genuine one-off pieces. You can view some of the artisans actually painting/crafting their wares. An interesting, leisurely way to spend an evening. When we visited they had an interesting exhibition on on the theme of recycle/reuse. Some street performances were also underway

We have been coming to Hua Hin intermittently for 15 years and it has changed tremendously. It is not the taste of the exotic Far East, or incredibly cheap as it used to be but has become modern and more sophisticated which has to be a good thing for the country. Anyway that is what the Circade Market is, very trendy, interesting and fun. The food was really good, so much choice and I felt reasonably priced for the quality. The stalls were full of great things and the band we heard tonight was excellent, we sat and listened for a while. No it is not the old fashioned night market but it is great fun and well worth a trip.

Cicada is a large outdoor night market with a relaxed atmosphere that open from Friday to Sunday. The busy open air market in a garden like environment is well visited by tourists and local Thai. Besides the many market stalls there is lots of freshly cooked food, live music and a small theater. If you are looking for a souvenirs you can browse for arts and craft.

Most nightmarkets have a many foodstalls and a proliferation of cheap/fake clothing, but Cicada is a bit different: it is well-managed, spacious, clean and relaxed. The foodstalls are of good quality, whilst the other stalls are mainly of local and interesting artisan products. The whole atmosphere is very relaxed and unhassled, and when we went there was the bonus of live music. An hour to browse and an hour to eat is enough, unless you want to spend more time listening to the entertainment.

Hi, Its my first time To Thailand and I would like to drive a car from Bangkok to Huahin..
My question is, is it any parking spot provided in Huahin night market , cicada night market or even at huahin beach?
or we just park at sideways?
is it better to drive the car to nightmarket or better using public transportation? I`m afraid night market is very crowded and not accessible by car?
Thank you for the answer
Written January 13, 2020
I did see some parking but it is crowded. I would get a room at a hotel near the beach and walk or get a tuk tuk to the market. Much easier!

How different is Cicada Mkt to daily night Market. 2. Is Cicada Mkt close to night market? 3. Do both markwts open at 5pm only??
Written March 3, 2019
The Cicada Market is open Friday to Sunday only. It has a different feel to it. Food is varied and better than night market. Live entertainment too at Cicada.
Tamarind market is open Thursday to Sunday and is mainly food.
The Cicada and Night Market are a Tuk tuk ride away and will cost 150 baht.

How far from the Hilton is Circada Market?
Written October 14, 2017
It is not walking distance (or a loooong walk LOL). It's an easy 5 min tuk tuk ride. We stay at Centara and it's 150 Baht each way. There are plenty of tuk tuks outside Hilton, and likewise outside Cicada. Only operates Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. We always go early, and usually on Sunday.
