Peace and quiet.

We walked from Slaton village so no problems with finding a parking spot. Heard many birds whilst sat in the sunshine. Accessible whatever the weather and it is free!

A nice quiet hide with the chance to see the local wildlife. Very quiet and set back from the road near a car park so easily accessible.

I followed two of the way-marked walks, one with my husband in the rain, and the other with my 12-year-old son in the sunshine. (Sunshine helps!) To my amazement my son (who is not usually noted for enjoying country walks) was totally absorbed in the experience. We took countless photographs of flowers, butterflies, ferns etc. Back at the holiday cottage... More

Very enjoyable and pretty walk. We parked here to wander along to the beach but very glad we decided to go for a look around here before we did. Loads of pretty birds, and plenty of ducklings and swans about too! It does say to keep dog on the lead if you're going round, but our dog didn't seem to... More

A great walk - with the chance to see some wildlife close up - There are a number of viewing platforms and hides in the reeds that allow great views and if you are lucky close up observation of the birds. We watched a pair of Marsh Harriers hunting the edges of the waterfront whilst we enjoyed our picnic lunch

We visit 2-3 times a year and enjoy taking walks around the nature reserve. Truly peaceful and beautiful place. Take the time to get out of the car and walk around it's just lovely.

After two very sore backsides we decided to go for a walk around the Ley Wildlife having chatted to the girls at Slapton Sands (gravel) Lots to look out for through a pair of binoculars and not to many people walking around as it was drizzling most of the day. Not the best day for bird watching but we were... More
