Gem of a place
Apr 2021 • Family
Lauren & her family have put their heart & soul into this memorial stables/farm. It’s self funded & they even let you take your own pack lunch & drinks there even though they sell food & drinks themselves. The animals are well looked after & always clean & healthy. The children have as much fun playing on the slide & swings when they have looked & fed the animals & then they are able to go around again & again looking at the animals, you can spend a good few hours there. I personally think Lauren should put a donation box out so we can donate as much as we can afford to help with the upkeep & to help keep this wonderful place OPEN. So parents & carers when you visit (& remember it’s free) just think how much joy this place brings your children & donate. I will return with my grandson again & again to support this fantastic place. ❤️

Lovely place but should really charge entry in order to stay open
Oct 2020 • Family
Visited for the first time this week. My girls loved the pony ride and lots of animals to see and feed. Lovely little place.
They should really start a charge to enter with so many mouths to feed. Pony ride was £5 a ride and heard people complaining despite the free entry!
I hope they stay open for years to come as would definitely return.

Amazing day out
Aug 2020 • Family
Lovely place for the kids. Animals are well kept and lots of local kids help take care of them and the farm. Entry is free but you're welcome to make a donation. You can buy some animal food and feed the animals. There are pony rides on most days. You can ask to groom a horse. £5 each I believe. There's also a nice little play area with wooden houses, slides etc, a booth you can get some foo, snacks and ice-cream from and sit comfortably while kids are playing. Absolutely amazing to have such a place in such a location!

hidden local gem
Aug 2020 • Family
This site such a lovely place. Built from virtually nothing by the current owners under very sad circumstances. But she has persevered and done an amazing job! Its an asset to the local community and deserves to do well, please visit! It's free to get in, just pay for a pony ride or some food to feed the animals (£1.50 for food). A lovely day out for young and old.

This is a brilliant place to visit. Free to enter, whilst a large bag of animal food can be bought for £1.50. We had a lovely morning here.

Fantastic place to go with kids
Aug 2020 • Family
Fantastic little farm great to get out for an hour or two and the fact it’s free only have to pay for pony rides or food, great local place to go and the owner has done a big part for the community given kids somewhere to go and she’s also got lots of young volunteers which I think is great!!
Highly recommend George Mead Stables and thank you for giving us somewhere to go!

Such a little gem.

I was recommended to take my three year old daughter here and she absolutely loved it. She got to feed lots of different animals, go on a pony and trap ride and also ride a horse which made her day. She's been back since and still enjoyed it.

It's such a little gem.
