We stopped there in the morning. We didn’t meet anybody. The church was closed but we could go on the monastery site.

Quiet place on the road 203G from Măgura to Haleș.
The orthodox church has been built in 1828.

One of the main attraction in the area, very close to "Tabăra de sculptura".
Many parking places just in front of it.
Very large yard where you can relax sitting on the grass.

Ciolanu Monastery is a well preserved monastery surrounded by monks' small houses full of flowers, a location full of peace when you could find yourself, meditate and come back with enriched soul

Perfectly located in a forest, this monastery offers a very pleasant experience. The courtyard nicely opens up on a hill. At its base there is the newer church, while up top there is the older smaller one.
