We decided to visit here on a ride out in the country on such a cold, snowy wintry day! As soon as we walked in we noticed a lovely wood burner in the middle of the building roaring away which was a very warm welcome! The staff were very friendly too! I ordered a warmed cheese scone and hit chocolate,... More

We visited on Saturday for a family lunch, 11 of us with young children included. All our needs catered for, amazing food, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. We all love this place, reasonable prices and a wonderful chef xxx

A great experience as this was my first experience of a full body massage, head and feet also. The Reiki was great and I would return if there was easy public transport to the remote place. I did not drive so had to rely on buses which are not frequent. However, it was an experience which made it all worthwhile.

Our 2nd visit and our 2nd all day breakfast. Delicious. Locally sourced products all excellent quality and I can't remember the last time I had such tasty granary bread toast. 20 minutes out of Colchester and well worth a visit. The Cafe sits within a garden centre and small complex of shops. Easy t while away an hour or two.

Just back from a friends wedding reception held at Assington Barn. First rate service by the friendly staff and first class food, absolutely faultless, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Have visited Assington Barns before but have not eaten here until today. The food and service were excellent and there is the added bonus of several charming little shops to look round after. Will definitely be returning.

Great little venue with garden centre and shops attached. Lunch was very nice with a good menu to choose from, especially the cakes. Parking was easy and unless local you would need a car. Dining both inside and out so you can enjoy the weather. There are also a few animals close by for children to pet. Reasonably priced and... More
