We had a wonderful time at Maru Koala and Animal Park. We arrived early on a Monday which I recommend as it wasn't too crowded. The Koala experience was great, we got to pet one, take some photos and learn more about them but the best part was the kangaroos. You can buy a container of food and they come... More

Maru Park was part of the ticket package we purchased, we visited during December and it was bustling with tourists. We got there just after lunch time and there was plenty of parking onsite. When we arrived we lined up to get our wristbands as we already pre-purchased the tickets. Due to the long wait and the heat of the... More

We really enjoyed our visit at Maru despite AAT tour company only allowing us less than an hour here. This is a very nice, well maintained wildlife park where you can get close to koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, emus, etc. The sheep shearing demonstration was also very informative and entertaining for kids.

As one part of the tour we had on Phillip Island we visited this animal sanctuary and you walk through some of the paddocks and can get really close to the Koalas and Kangaroos, there are also loads of local birds and other animals as well but the Tasmanian Devils decided to sleep through our visit. Worth a visit if... More

We brought our Chinese exchange student here today and he could feed many Kangaroos for $2 a bag and for $20 he was able to get up close and personal with a koala, a professional photo was included in the price and we could take our own photos (very rare). Staff friendly. All the native animals, very well kept and... More

Hello motherofbarry! It is sad but true that many of us don't make the time to visit local attractions until we have visitors arrive and wish to take them out, so thank-you for stopping to come inside and visit us at Maru. There is something for everyone at Maru from toddlers to grandparents, overseas visitors and locals from around the... More

Very clean toilets but I think the actual park needs a little more cleaning. The keepers talks and shows are only performed once per day for each animal, it would be better if they did these twice a day because you would have more chance to see them. The admission price is $20 for seniors and $16 dollars for Australian... More

Hello Hazel We are glad you found the toilets clean but would be interested to know exactly which areas of the park you felt needed more cleaning? Our cleaning routine is extensive with all areas raked, swept and cleaned every single day. Talks do occur every hour on a different animal and with our wildlife and sheep shearing shows we... More

What an experience being so close to the wonderful kangaroos, koalas and various other animals, as well as the chance to hold an albino joey! We visited here with the Phillip Island experience pass so didn't stay too long as we had other attractions to fit in our day, so we didn't get to fully appreciate what's on offer but... More

Very enjoyable day walking through park, petting animals, later a picnic and then mini golf. Pirate Day is huge fun, all staff dress up and everyone encouraged to come dressed as pirates or wenchs.

We checked out the Maru Koala and Animal Park in Grantville earlier in December and what a great smaller zoo/animal encounter area! Similarly we had seen people commenting that this could be done in an hour, we spent 2.5hours and could have done more but had a driving schedule to keep to so we had to leave. Feeding the roos...
