We accidentally came across this stunning beach on the coast of Connemara National Park. Our dogs played on the sand and paddled in the rock pools. We found it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

This nice sandy beach is east of Tullycross at the end of a spur road from the Wild Atlantic Way. Signs make it relatively easy to find. Good parking.

This beach is paradise. I have many happy memories of previous visits to it . My sisters children all love it . Not because of the views but for the piece and tranquility.

Get the sat nav out for this one. It's worth the meander down to beach where there is a car park and a wonderful safe sandy beach. A bit windy but you can hide in the dunes. Rge sea was wonderful. Go there

All roads west of Galway are slower than most other roads in Ireland. They are tarmacked, but are very much bog roads the further west you go. After Oughterard average average top speeds drop to below 40mph, once you turn... More

From Tully Cross you need to take the road next to the church, opposite Paddy Coynes. Look out for signs for west scuba diving school, it's in the same place. Definitely worth finding.
