I booked a horse riding tour here through Hidden Trails, and enjoyed every minute! I always dreamed of going horseback riding in Ireland - and I got my wish! I enjoyed some rides along sandy beaches (walking, trotting, and cantering) and through some breathtaking scenery. Rocky, the horse I rode, was great!

Never thought I would get on a horse and ride it but I did. Thanks to the help of the great staff. This is a highly recommended experience which I never thought I would accomplish. The stables give you boots and a hat although I struggled to find a pair it was well worth the effort of finding a pair... More

Myself and my wife booked a 1 hour horse riding session, at a cost of 32 euros each, over the phone. The stables were not that obvious to find and are located behind Arnolds hotel, where there was ample parking, toilet facilities are also in the hotel. The stables are a short walk from here. The set up at the stables... More

With short notice (about two hours) my husband and I were able to avail of an hour beach ride with Melissa and Sean who put two novice riders at ease and chatted for the whole hour we were out. It was one of our favourite experiences from a week long trip in Donegal and I would highly recommend it to... More

When I turned 60 this year, I decided to give myself the gift of a horseback riding trip to Ireland. Someone was watching out for me because I booked a week long trail riding trip at Arnold's Hotel and the Dunfanaghy Stables! Even with some rain, I had the most amazing time. Helen MacDaid and her daughter Niamh run the... More

There is no greater way of exploring the beautiful, wild Atlantic coast than by horseback.. Here, you can be sure to meet friendly staff, and horses that are well-cared for. Enjoy the freedom, the wind and the salt spray!

I get lessons here every year and the staff are really nice and help you. The horses are very well cared for and well trained. I love coming here for riding lessons but can be a bit pricey

I hadn't been on a horse in a very long time and was very apprehensive but the guide was very helpful and encouraging. We walked and trotted along the beautiful beach for one hour. The horses were very calm and followed directions well. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would love return to Dunfanaghy in near future!
