Even though the weather wasn't 100%, there were plenty of people around and many surfing. Nice area to walk & the sea itself turbulent & magnificent.

Great beach for a walk when the tide is out. We walked from the village to the far end by the bridge and back again, around an hour in total.

I had never seen an Atlantic coastal storm before. We were staying in Ennis and the weather had turned decidedly nasty. What else to do than head for Lahinch and walk the Prom? We sure got our value from storm, it was vicious! That didn't stop us taking a long walk on the Prom to admire the power of Nature. Two days later we happened by again, this time in more pleasant weather. The beach was filled with surf schools and people having great fun. The Prom was crowded and we enjoyed another, this time more pleasant, walk. Good parking and services. By the way, since when has Lahinch become Lehinch?

Just wanted to warn folk about parking up in Lahinch if touring the area... We stayed there last night on the Promenade in our Motorhome, along with several other groups, including families. Everything was nice & peaceful until 2am when all hell broke loose... The drunks descended onto the Promenade blasting music, shrieking & shouting, with no regard whatsoever for those sleeping. I think the Guards eventually moved them on after about an hour, but shouting & rowdy behaviour continued for the rest of the night. We were also in a rather nice pub for a meal where I unfortunately witnessed some young women openly snorting cocaine in the ladies toilets - not the pub’s fault in any way but rather a reflection of the clientele. We will most certainly never be back again to Lahinch.
