Fabulous Experience
Aug 2021 • Solo
Upon my arrival to Lahinch golf club I felt greeted by the staff. Practice facilities were great and the gentleman was very kind on helping us out. My caddie made my round very enjoyable with his old stories and jokes. I would highly recommend any visitor to take a caddy as they add to the experience and the blind holes on the front can be challenging without one. I have to say it was a real treat to play here on a fantastic course that was in great shape. I will certainly be back here in the future.

Aggressive staff member
Jul 2021 • Business
Across the road from the main golf course is a firing range. The young boy working there on the 25th of July was shouting at two men who has walked into the grounds. I found the member of staff to be very aggressive and made our experience very uncomfortable. I feel his way of dealing with the situation was not good practice and reflects poorly on Lahinch Golf Club.

Lahinch - stay a couple days
Nov 2020 • Couples
To whom it may concern. My wife (not a golfer ) and I traveled to Ireland back in 2014 for the UCF/Penn. St. football game in Dublin as part of the UCF radio team. I do play golf and knew I was NOT going to Ireland without playing golf. Brought MY clubs. A friend has been to Ireland a few times and gave me a number of courses he’s played and I should pick from one or three and I couldn’t go wrong. One must for you. Do what we did. We went over a week before the game and stayed in Lahinch for 4 days. Wherever you go, hunker down for 3-5 days to get a real feel for Ireland. Skipping from city to city u just don’t get that. Lahinch is just a great place. Two great drives ( north or south) along the water and the Cliffs of Mohr and a number of memorial spots in town for eating and spirts, make this a great place to call home for an extended stay. Ok ok back to the golf. U can’t go wrong with any of the “must play before u die” courses over there but the history of Lahinch - awesome scenery while on the course - friendliness of those at the course - the great caddies on site and the course itself will make ur stay one great experience. Speaking of the caddies- I had Gerry McGrath. What a treat. When I think of Gerry I can’t help but smile. If someone at Lahinch reads this please ask Gerry if he remembers a conversation we had before I left the course. I’m from Palm Beach Co. and have been friends w the Koepka’s for 20+ years. Father Bob and I were on the board w PBC Jr golf and the kids played golf together growing up. I told Gerry to be the first to get on the Brooks Koepka train. Brooks just left FSU was about to embark on his Challenge Tour experience.I think we all know how things have worked out for BK. Always wanted to know if he remembered that conversation and took the money from his buddies over there. Once back in Dublin for the football game I got to play a couple great places there but, when I think of my Ireland experience Lahinch is where my thoughts go. Have FUN. Bill Harvey - Wellington, Fl. Stunning place
Feb 2020
As my uncle lives literally 2 minutes drive away, as an avid golfer and recently watched the Irish Open there, I though I would pop in and see what the club is all about. I spoke to a lovely lady (sorry I didn't quite catch her name) in the pro's shop, we spoke about the old course and its little brother, the castle course. I asked would it be possible to go upstairs for a pint and a seat, as I had jeans and trainers on, 'no problem whatsoever, make yourselves comfy!' Needless to say we did, what a friendly place. Royal Liverpool, Birkdale etc take note!

Without doubt I will play this place in the summer of 2020.

See you soon Lahinch

awesome links style course

If you can tear your eyes away from the views, keep a lookout for the family of goats.
They were preparing for the Irish Open when we played. The course was outstanding and it was fun to watch the pros on TV playing it later and having some of the same problems that I had (well, maybe not exactly the same problems I had).

The highlight of the round was playing the Old Tom Morris blind par 3. We did not get the large TV screen that the pros used but it was still fun. The weather was terrible, high winds and light to heavy rain, so the people we were playing with quit after 14 holes. But we stuck it out and it was worth it.

Another course for my wife to drool over.
Sep 2019
We drove past here and saw much of the course. It is considered one of the top links courses in the world. Even for a former golfer like me, it was tempting. My wife was tempted to leave me and our tour to try to play here. Great scenery and a challenging, amazing layout. I especially recall among the rolling landscapes, a bunker that looked like it had swallowed the golfer trying to play out. Playing here must be incredible, but I think anyone could appreciate the look of the course and its obvious challenges if that's all you can get.

Hopefully you will get the opportunity to return to play the Old Course in the future as the Old Course looks even more spectacular when playing as opposed to a drive by. Regards General Manager

Played Lahinch for probably the 10th or more time and every time it gets better! The conditioning and the layout are just superb! Certainly a world top 30 or so golf course and i would play it again today and tomorrow given the chance! Our group voted it the best of the 10 courses we played on this most recent trip!
