Lahinch Surf School is about Friendly, Safe, Fun in the surf.Established by John McCarthy, three times Irish Senior Surf Champion, John established Co.Clare's first Surf School to share his love and 'stoke' for surfing. Lahinch Surf School has stayed true to that dream ever since. When we're not surfing big waves at the Cliffs of Moher (the wave John named "Aileens"), you'll will find us at our 'Surf Centre and Cafe' on main street, Lahinch or at our Beach hut on the promenade. The positive ions are infectious dude!Courses: Outside of doing a single two hour lesson any day of the year, our most popular courses are the 'Weekend Surf Course' for adults, which is 3 fun lessons over the weekend and our Kids(9-12), Teens(13-18) and Grom(5-8) Camps in school holidays. You are welcome to come join the fun at Lahinch Surf School.

Excellent little surf shack for all your surfing needs. Whether your a beginner and need a good teacher, or your an advanced surfer and just need to rent a board this place is great. I went in mid-May and needed to rent a board and wetsuit for myself (I've been surfing for ten years) and I wanted to buy the... More

We went to John Mccarthys school for our surf weekend. Although the waves were small, the instructors did a very good job of making the most of them with us. They were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend the school to anyone else looking to surf in Lahinch.

Thanks to all the guys at Lahinch Surf Club. Cheers to John for creating the waves in what was prob the best day of the year (weather wise). It certainly helped freshen us all up after a heavy Friday night session :-) Honestly, super idea for a stag - banter in the water was great and the instructors gave us... More

Super Instructors and staff, I learned more at this session than in all previous ones elsewhere. Our Instructor Allain was great and the staff at the kiosk were friendly, organised, kind and encouraging. Would defo recommend and will go back.

Went here as part of a hen party with a group of 12, everybody had a brilliant experience. Our two instructors (Eddie and Pete) were so patient, encouraging and most of all great crack! Would definitely recommend this surf school can't wait to go back

Thanks to the team at Lahinch Surf Experience for looking after our 12 year old son and 8 year old daughter. They spent 3 days in the water with excellent tuition and equipment supplied. Both children up surfing in no time. Really friendly set-up and nothing too much trouble. Continued success and hopefully see you again sometime!
