Smashing drinking and social establishment. Appropriate background melodies, astute bar service. A choice of cosy front bar, a sittaround covered smoke/chat area in the rear, plus a neat area to the side for when live music is playing. Best pub in Birr, followed closely by...More

Great people, great music, great pints. Fantastic food and nice for watching sports too. Nice and cosy during the winter with open fires, and a little bit crazy during the summer out in the slick garden area, which is a hidden gem!

Lovely welcoming pub. Friendly staff. Beautiful open fire. Had a good few pints of Guinness with the family. Would definitely recommend this pub. We will visit again on our travels to Birr.

We had a fun evening at the pub. Comfortable and friendly environment with live music playing in the background, however it was Friday so not sure that always happens. Great place to stop for a drink.
