Even in winter the fine sand is a pleasure to walk on. It is vast and stretches beyond for a couple of miles until you get to the opening of the Cashen (Feale) River. Here the wild Atlantic crashes against Ireland with power and beauty.
Walked as far as the river then as the tide was out we were able to walk around the end of the cliff with the castle at the edge.
