This is not unlike many of the modern Ryder Cup venues in that it is an average to perhaps above average parkland course and not much else. We found it to be soggy, shaggy, buggy, and an average track. The best part of the course was the clubhouse and the staff, which is not where the focus should be on... More

We played Doonbeg, LaHinch, Ballybunion, K Club, Portmarnock, Royal County Down and Portrush. Got my butt kicked by all except Portrush. Fine course. K Club served us a piece of garden hose between two roof shingles for lunch at the break, and called it a hot dog. If you know anyone at the K Club, let them know there are... More

Superb setting for the Irish Open, a really well laid out Arnold Palmer course. Guests of Emirates in the Sponsors Pavillion overlooking the 18th and the club house with the 9th just behind us. Weather held out in the morning but the Irish rain crept in for the afternoon...did not detract from seeing some of the greats in action. Would... More

So so disappointed, I had such a massive expectation of this place as its worldly renowned, Ha balderdash. Couldn't find it at first then when we got to the grounds we couldn't find the club house our the pro shop, when we did we got our cards and asked about the state of play, Ohhh it's fine said a member... We visited the hotel for a wedding and stayed two nights. The rooms were spacious with old but suited decor. Nothing felt as though it was too old. This is a very luxury hotel and every last detail has been taken care off. In the suites you have two sinks and a deep bath you can sink into and unwind.... More

Very well maintained and it is lovely to play. You can imagine how it must have been with the crowds at the Ryder Cup. Really a pleasure. Nice clubhouse. Very friendly staff. Great Restaurant also in the evening. Greenfee is pricey also compared to other great courses around Dublin, however, it's the Ryder Cup course so we do not complain.

The wedding reception was excellent, however the venue could do with being upgraded. There are obvious signs of wear and tear. During the reception, the blinds could not be drawn to prevent the guests being blinded by the glare from the Sun. Unforgivable in a venue of this level. However the staff were excellent. The food was very good, though... More

Visited the K Club for a round of golf on the Palmer Ryder Cup Course. It was in excellent condition - tees were well presented, although we were put off on the very forward tees, fairways were in perfect condition, greens were very good, some of them huge, speed varied on most greens. However, it was an expensive round of... More
