Fantastic Golf Course

A very challenging test. Excellent fairways (when you hit them) and superb greens. A must visit course. Beautiful scenery. Clubhouse bar is decent but the food can be hit and miss.

A well maintained course with great views and challenging holes. A real pleasure to play here. When in the neighbourhood you need to play here.

I am a low teen golf handicap and recently played this lovely little links course. It is gaining a very good reputation in Ireland but is little known of outside of Ireland next to Ballyliffin and Rosapenna. For anyone going to play in Donegal it is a must visit. It is much better value, is a challenging test of golf... More

Recently travelled with a group from Hong Kong. Testing links course but outstanding value for money. Looked after by Eamonn who caddied for us on the first day and became an honorary member of the tour. Also became our Cultural Advisor (pubs, restaurants etc. ) would love to revisit. Frank I

We played Portsalon one week ago and had a great experience. What a fantastic layout! Every hole is different and challenging. Great views of either the beach or mountains on every hole. Greens were excellent! By far our favorite course in north Donegal.

Portsalon Links suffers by comparison to the nearby spectacular links of Rosapenna and Ballyliffin. Portsalon by itself is a quality links greatly enhanced by the skilled hands of Pat Ruddy. The course occupies a strip of land along one of the most picturesque beaches you will ever see-although the water temperature would have to be considered "refreshing". The opening 9... More

I joined two young lads for my round. There was a four ball in front of us and we waited and waited and waited. Apparently the members are not acquainted with golf course rules and etiquette. After nine holes I walked off. Mind you this is a fantastic course but .
