We visited with Eddie who is a professional weaver. His fabrics are beautiful, and so perfectly finished. His herringbone tweeds are the best. There are completed garments, throws, scarves, capes, or yardage available for sale. We had a wonderful conversation and I got some tips for my own weaving. Not to be missed.

As we were touring Donegal it was only right to purchase something in a local hand weaving place. Great selection of blankets and coats.

My mother grew up in the fabric making industry. We mentioned this when we visited and were taken on a personal tour of the work shed, where she and the craftsmen at work got into a lively long hands-on discussion about the old working looms and their intricacies. A great stop for anyone with an interest or experience in weaving.

I purchased two sport coats and two waistcoat (vests) from Mr. Doherty in May, 2015. I often wear them, and I always receive compliments on the fit, craftsmanship and appearance of the garments. Eddie is a warm, friendly man and his shop is a wonderful experience.

Eddie opened his shop just for us even though he and his wife had been headed out of for an appointment. He took the time to show us the looming process and the generously allowed us to carefully pick our purchases without rushing us. I use my beautiful throw blanket frequently and smile for thinking of the joy, passion, and... More

A great place to visit. The proprietor, Mr Eddie Docherty, is the real thing. See cloth woven by an expert and buy the genuine Donegal Tweed products to wear and also to add class to your home. A must for any visitor to this wonderful heritage town.

He gave great insight on how to get the best products. Even showed how the loom works and explained why only the best wool is used in his products.

We were walking about the town when someone we were talking to suggested we visit this shop - not only for the merchandise, but also to watch weaving happening in the old fashioned way. It was wonderful to see, and we bought tweed from the shop too. The tweed is great quality.
