We we a bit skeptic about going for this ride with our 3 young kids, but the staff and the captain were awesome, knowledgeable and fun!
The 1hr ride on the St Johns river was a great experience for us all.
We would definitely recommend it!

If you travel to Grand Falls NB or the surrounding region, I highly recommend putting this adventure on your itinerary. It is not too difficult but you do climb ladders up trees and zipline quite a few times. Loved flying through the trees and especially from rooftop to tree and ziplining over a rocky( very high) gorge. What a view!
For the adventurous people, you can also do some deepeling ( rappeling but facing downward) off a cliff and they have river tours, wall climbing etc. You can spend a great day with the family. Loved loved loved it and will go again.

Our whole family, including grand children had an amazing day sailing through the trees on the Zip Zlines. The higher route over the gorge was magnificent. One of party tried the Deepelling and loved it. The staff were extremely friendly. We felt very confident in their attention to our safety. We stayed in the cottage and one of the tower rooms. Both were wonderful. All in all a great day!

Zip lining at Open Sky was an amazing experience. The course offers many opportunities for beginners. The first course helps newbies get comfortable. The second course added much faster and more exciting lines, including 4 trips across the gorge. The staff was awesome, encouraging and very attentive. The kids and hubby loved it and even this afraid of heights mom enjoyed it too! I would highly recommend it. Much better value for your money (less expensive too!) than the short trips over Grand Falls in town. Come to Open Sky instead!

My husband, my son and I went on the pontoon boat ride to the gorge. It was terrifying! We were the only ones on the boat. It did not start out well. The driver was bragging about how fast the boat could go. He gave it too much gas and flooded the motor. So here we are about 100 feet or so from the shore and the boat won't start, we are floating down river. I was ready to say "never mind, get me back on dry land before I have a panic attack". It took a few minutes to get the boat started. I did inquire during the wait "does this thing have paddles?" I was informed that it does not. So we are now on our way toward the gorge. The driver was very friendly and informative. Then he tells us that this river has a lot of big rocks and he has to avoid hitting them even though they are under the surface of the water and you can't really see them. They could puncture the pontoons he tells us. This info does not make me feel better. At this point we arrive between the 150 meter high rock walls of the gorge and the water is a lot rougher. The space between the rocks keeps getting more narrow as we move forward. It's getting a little too narrow for me and I ask him if we can turn back. He insists that he needs to bring us a bit farther because "it has the best view". We slowly squeeze into this area in between the rock walls. The water is very rough at this point and that's when the boat decides to stall again. OMG, I though to myself " I'm going to die today". I start going through scenarios were i drown (because i can't swim) but my husband and son survive because they are very strong swimmers. Thank God he promptly got the boat started and it was a smooth pontoon boat ride back to shore. I could not have been happier to get off that boat! My son, of course, thought it was AWESOME!

I first visited with my daughter 4 years ago. Finally made it back with my husband. It was just as awesome as I remembered. The zipline courses are great, especially the second one that goes back and forth over the gorge. The depelling is unlike anything I had ever done before. You walk off a cliff and then bounce yourself down to the bottom. It's unreal and a huge thrill. And the staff - they're truly wonderful. They coach and encourage every step and bounce of the way. We saw tiny kids (6 years old) to nearly 60 year olds all having a great time here. If you're planning where to overnight on your road trip, you should definitely stop here! I've ziplined in many places and this one gets top marks for setting, staff and extra thrills!

Our family of 4 visited on a whim- due to a shortage of rooms in Edmunston we ended up staying nearby on the trip from Ontario to PEI. We decided to delay our departure and check out Open Sky. We're so thankful we did.
We were greeted by the most friendly and welcoming staff. They confidently trained our kids (and us) to safely tackle the "small course". Unfortunately, our son got frightened of the height. Lisa spent 30 minutes helping him, but in the end he was just too afraid. Matthieu came and literally carried him across all of the bridges back to the beginning. Best part- neither was frustrated, and they were so kind, no matter how many times I apologized.
Daughter and husband had so much fun on first course they decided to do the big one over the gorge. Lisa stayed with them, and helped my husband safely navigate the course with daughter. A few challenges (she is quite light and it was windy so she didn't make it across the gorge), were dealt with safely, and professionally. I was freakingbout a bit, but Matthieu put my mind at ease, and Lisa competently "rescued her" (pulled her across the gorge.
The long and short is that we'll come back on our next trip east. In fact, we'll plan to stay in their hotel rooms, too!

I can't say enough about how amazing this place is. Went ziplining on both courses with my adventurous 6 year old daughter. Guide was awesome and helped her through it. Was an absolute blast! Zip/ropes courses are very long and beautiful, and an extraordinary value for what you pay. You do need to be in reasonable shape to do this, as the courses are more than just ziplining, with numerous ladders and bridges too. Course was very well designed, weaving through the trees and over the gorge several times. I really can't imagine a more fun experience if this thing is your cup of tea!

I have been there in 2016 and 2015 and was not disappointed! The thrills don't stop! 15 went the first year at all different skill levels and we were all impressed! So much fun. The second year 12 of us went and it was still super fun!
