I attempted to visit this monument as I was staying in a house close by. This monument is not well signposted. Although I could see the stones from the main road (Ring of Kerry) I could not find a way to get up close to the stones via Benjamin Close or the closest house. In hindsight (and from looking at... So unique, and so magical. I can imagine Druids standing here thousands of years ago and the kids really "got it" too and it prompted many a conversation about different beliefs and respect for the cycles of nature in Ireland where we're so lucky to have real seasons. I don't know anywhere else like this in Ireland.

I don't know why the other review for this category is for a golf course, because this is actually a collection of standing stones, NEAR the golf course. These ancient standing stones are a very short walk from Downtown Waterville. If you're on a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry you would not have time to see them, since... More
