My husband and I had the most amazing time with Knockillaree Riding during our honeymoon in January!! While it was a bit windy and chilly that didn't put a damper on the trek at all. In fact, we weren't even thinking about the weather because we were too busy having a great time conversing with Roger, gazing at the beautiful... More

I will come back to Knockillaree and recommend it to anyone :) Myself and two other riders went for a trek with Roger in Connemara. It was a very foggy day and we were delayed so had to ring and explain that we were delayed. Roger was very understanding and we were enthused and made our way onwards. Connemara is... More

My boyfriend and I decided to book a trail ride to get the true feel for the Connemara-and we are so glad we went with knockillaree! Roger was warm and friendly and had remarkable running commentary of the area we were traveling in. All the horses were clearly well looked after and their behavior out on trail was a testament... Our hotel recommended this place to us. We did the tour with another couple, so it was just the 4 of us and the owner, Roger. Most of us were beginners and Roger was very patient with us; even gave us a quick lesson before we left. During our trek he went over the history of Connemara and took the... More

We booked a trek with Roger very last minute. He initially said 1:30pm but called a couple hours later and notified us he was running slightly behind and pushed us back to 2pm. Not a big deal at all. We got there and quickly hopped on some awesome horses, Jim and Dandy D. While riding, Roger talked about the history... More

Sitting in a nearby Ireland Pub on a late Wednesday night our family decided to go horseback riding before ending our family vacation. The bartender Pat from Power's Pub highly recommend Knockillaree Riding Center. I went on Facebook and found their page. I tried my luck and messaged them with no hopes of getting a response.. Before I could even... More

We were able to book a 90 minute ride the evening before we wanted to go. Roger was great and provided us with plenty of local lore as well as a great lunch recommendation, horses were very sweet and the ride was just challenging enough to keep it interesting! Would definitely do again!

Roger was so helpful and flexible - fitting us in on short notice for a pony trek with our first-time 7 and 8 year old riders. The ride was amazing - great ponies that were just right for the kids, helpful guidance, and beautiful scenery. Overall a great experience.
