We stumbled upon this old church and cemetary while returning from our Howth Cliff hike and spent a few minutes walking through. We found it very interesting and humbling.

Well worth the walk up from the harbour area to the Howth town centre, if only to visit the old ruins and enjoy the great views of the harbour and boats.

We really enjoyed seeing this ruined abbey and exploring the cemetery in the grounds. Very sad to see the graves of so many children and interesting to see that whole families were buried together.

There are several similar ruins in Ireland like this old abbey, but it has it's atmosphere. It besides in Howth village, easily accessible by foot from Howth train station.

When in Howth's main street you see the large ruins of a chuch. Although church is in ruins it is pictureque and real Howth' heritage witness.
