We had our staff party here last month, some people played Golf beforehand which was an added bonus, this golf club has to have one of the best views in Ireland, The Burren on one side and the Slieve Aughty's on the other.

Marie and her staff looked after us really well, the food was lovely, they provided the D.J and nothing was a problem. Anyone coming to the West of Ireland and travelling in the Burren Lowlands (the lesser known area of the Burren) would love it here.

You can also eat/play here if you aren't a member, they are most welcoming.

An 18 hole course set in beautifully maintained grounds about three miles outside Gort. The course is an absolute pleasure to play with some quirks to challenge all levels of ability . The views from virtually every hole are really beautiful. It’s possibly one of the most picturesque courses in Connacht.

You’ll also find a very warm welcome in the Clubhouse . You don’t have to be a member to enjoy a coffee, alcoholic drink or some bar food. The staff are polite, helpful and friendly and food is good and very reasonably priced
Gort Golf Club is most definitely worth visiting

My bucket list included playing golf in Ireland. I could not have had a better experience! ...the weather and experience were perfect!
I did not bring my clubs from the U.S., but rather rented them for 25 Euros. When my friend booked it, he thought I meant a buggy for the clubs, but I meant an actual golf cart. The owner/manager let us used his, but in hindsight, this course is very easily walked!
While waiting for my friend to arrive, Marie and Nikole (?) kept me entertained at the bar and offered amazing service and conversation!! Definitely will be returning!!

I have played Gort twice in the last 8 months and I loved the experience both times. It is a little hard to find and isn’t really that close to Gort but it is worth the wrong turns (even with GPS). The course is in excellent shape and is challenging enough with the 18th hole being quite par-able for a nice finish to the round. Because it is inland, you don’t have the wind that seems always to be blowing in nearby Lahinch. It is a nice parkland course with some of the par threes tucked in like little rooms. And those par 3s are tricky! The restaurant was not serving while we were there last week as they had a big member’s event that night but I had a nice lunch last September. It is an incredible bargain given what the course delivers so put it on your list!

The course is in great condition. Greens have been hollow cored and sanded but are very good. The food in the club house was very good afterwards.

Excellent course designed by the late great Christy O’Connor Junior. Vibrant Men’s, Women’s and Senior’s Clubs. Great place to visit with green fees or societies.

Been coming here for many years galway races week. Always made welcome. Course is always in great condition and the Apre golf is always good. One point that lets it down is the lack of buggies and the standard of the buggies available. Still love the place.
