A bit of history that is easily viewed!

What can you say about visiting a grave - it is there and near the door of the church and is well marked for all to see.

This is well worth stopping at, you can see Benbulben looming beyond the headstone of the man it inspired so much. There is a terrific tearoom/gift shop with toilet and very friendly staff. They acomodated the group I brought (40 high school kids) without batting an eyelid.

This is hard to review, the grave itself alone is not what I'm getting at here by giving it 5 stars, it's the whole experience- the church which is so quaint and pretty, the peaceful Cemetery with stunning views of Ben Bulben, the round tower and high Cross, the little arts centre and cafes. All wonderful. Yeats was a brilliant... More

The cemetery was very ornate at times and common at other times. It was a nice tribute to an amazing writer.

Not much to this tourist attraction as yes it is a graveyard. BUT for those who follow Yeats and his poems it is a lovely sentiment to stop and pay your respect for a great man. "Cast a cold eye on life and death horse passes by". Parking small. There is also a beautiful cafe at the entrance to stop... More

How lovely it was to find this beautiful church nestled up in the hilly countryside and to discover it was the grave site of Yeats. What a beautiful place.

Who cares whether it is really Yeats or not in there? What matters is the symbolism. Horsemen of the world, pass by!

It's wonderful that something like this has not been commercialised. Just pull off the main road and walk to the main entrance of the church. Yeats' resting place is just a little further past the main walkway. A lovely area just out of Sligo. A shout out to the Western Australian doors on the church with its black swans 🇦🇺

After visiting the church, which was stunning, there was a feeling that you were in a special place standing at WB Yeats gravesite.

The town is lovely and the graveyard very humble and non-descript. It's wonderful to walk around and take photos. The church is small and the grave yard intimate. The tea and gift shop is lovely as well.
