Take a guided tour to ensure you get the most from the visit. The abbey is fascinating to explore and worth a visit if you're in the area. On site, it's not huge but its story is.

The abbey is absolutely stunning and fascinating too! Be sure to take a guided tour. The young man we had explained about he abbey as it was when in operation and about what's been restored and what's original. Make the effort to see it!

This is a beautiful location for photographs and the history of the site is astounding. It comes complete with a Knight in armour burial, not to be missed.

The abbey is fascinating to explore and worth a visit if you're in the area. It's not massive but think one of the guided tours would make it more worthwhile.

We wandered around on our own, then took the guided tour with Evelyn. She brought the ruins to life, one of the best tour guides we encountered. If you like these ruins, be sure to seek out a hidden gem: Kilcooley Abbey in County Tipperary....More

I stopped spur-of-the moment, and was glad I did. It was very nice, and you could picture the monks walking through there in peace. The stone carvings were very interesting! The ticket clerk was very helpful - she even popped out the door to make...More

Hi Edward, they have a small centre on-site and they may be able to help you. It is run by the Office of Public Works, OPW. if you search online they should have a contact email you could use.
