At the end of a 1.5km single track lies this fab monument looking out to sea on the stunning, craggy coastline. The wind whistles round you and tries to blow you into the sea, beware it's very exposed...but utterly beautiful.

We visited here in May , haven't been for over 20 years , and forgot how stunning it is ! It's situated just outside Baltimore , perched on a cliff , you can see it from the village. There is limited parking there , but be warned , there is a fairly steep incline to get to it , with... More

The only way I saw to get to the Beacon was a rock ledge, similar to scaling a rock wall, beside a small barbed wire fence, the only thing keeping you from plunging into the ocean at the bottom of the cliff. Maybe there was another way? Anyway, it was a steep rock climb and halfway up my ankle twisted... More

Beautiful place to visit, a steep climb to the top but it's worth it once you see the views from the Beacon over looking the Atlantic Ocean! Absolutely breathtaking scenery and very windy at the top.

Limited car parking, climb to the top not for the faint hearted. Then WOW what a panoramic view. Well worth the climb

It was absolutely lashing, but my family and I decided to brave the muddy, narrow road to the Beacon. There was something somehow very liberating about standing in front of this giant white structure, rain soaking me through, the waves crashing several dozen meters below, and unbelievable 360 views. It's places like this that still feel untouched by the swaths... More

I was determined to reach this and get around it, being unfit i made it a goal and set off, the sun beaming and the beacon in sight all of the way. While the last part of the trek was the hardest part, the views from on top of the hill is amazing and worth your time.
