If you are in Cobh you need to stop by this cathedral. We did not do a tour. But we were able to walk around and really enjoy amazing architecture. The views from the cathedral also amazing. Definitely worth stopping by.
This cathedral is in the center of the small city. Beautiful details carved out of the stone. We could enter the cathedral but decided not to because they were hosting a funeral. Very sad. So to be respectful we staye doubt side to admire.
We took a walking tour of Cobh. The tour took us all around the town. The guide was from a local University. The tour ended at the cathedral. It is a very impressive structure located on a high hill over looking the town and harbor.
Impressive setting looking up at the Cathedral while we walked about the quaint seaside town with our yummy ice creams. Our ship docked along the quay so we easily walked around the town soaking up the history and people watching.
