    Gorgeous Church Inside & Outside
Gorgeous church on the outside and the inside. We showed up on a Sunday at 11am (mass was at 10am) right as a funeral was starting so we didn't get to walk around inside, but we stepped in for a minute before we realized it was a funeral. Not sure why the church didn't close the doors to tourists, but we were happy to have at least seen inside. Very well kept grounds and just beautiful all around. Definitely worth visiting!

    Spectacular
St Colmans is probably one of the most spectacular cathedrals ive seen on the island of Ireland & up there with some of the best ive seen across Europe. Free to enter with a local guide onsite to give you a few snippets of history. Beware though as the cathedral is at the top of the big hill and the walk might be a little taxing for some.

    A Beautiful and Astounding Cathedral
If you are already in Cobh, I can't imagine being there and not touring this magnificent cathedral. Truly astounding in size, scope, detail, and beauty. We visited so many churches during our Ireland vacation and this one truly stood out as the most amazing. We really were blown away with everything about this Cathedral. Worth visiting!

Incredibly Ornate Catholic Cathedral still in use
This is a BEAUTIFUL space, and incredibly ornate (over the top ornate) it’s clear no expense was spared. I would love to know who paid for it, who designed it and at what cost to the community. I wish we could have caught a tour. It’s still in use, and I would love to have known a bit more about its history. Worth a peak… but really is excessive for a worship space.

We took the Cobhconnect bus from st Patrick’s quay. It was reasonable at €6 return for adults and €4 for students. The bus was comfortable and the way to the cathedral was beautiful. The cathedral is stunning with amazing views. It is very quiet and peaceful. The location around has picturesque multi coloured houses and is an easy walk to the waterfront from there to the Titanic visitor centre which too is worth a visit.

We didn’t even make it inside (one of the kiddos wasn’t feeling well), and it was still one of the highlights of our trip. Between the scenic drive there, to the absolutely picturesque location, to one of the most stunning cathedrals that I’ve ever seen. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it.

While staying in Cork, we did a day trip to Cobh (which is less than 3 miles from Cork). A beautiful town by the sea with quaint shops galore, friendly people.

There is plenty to see and do in Cobh. Plenty of free parking around the village and all kinds of places to grab a bite or drink.

One of the largest and most beautiful Cathedrals we've ever seen was St. Colman's Cathedral. It was some of the most outstanding architecture and wonderful stained glass windows. On the outside, it had sculptures of all the st.s above the entrance door. Even a couple gargoyles which I assume represented demons. You could see the cathedral from any point in town as it sat on top of the hill in town and was so large you couldn't miss it.

Cobh was another of the places we were glad we saw and had so much to offer. It made for a wonderful day trip.

We stopped in Cobh and walked up to the Cathedral. Placed on the hill it gives you great views of the city, harbor and the Titanic pier. The cathedral itself is very beautiful with great woodwork in the ceiling, a great organ and stained glass window. I heartily recomend the walk up.

We quite by accident went to St. Colman's on the way down to the Cobh waterfront. Absolutely stunning. We were mesmerized by the architecture. Definitely worth stopping in for a few minutes to appreciate this structure.

On a trip to Cobh we took a walk up the hill to see the cathedral. This structure dominated the landscape by looking over the town.

Unlike some churches/cathedrals it’s free to enter.

Everything about this place is stunning. So much skilled and detailed work has gone into it. From the outside stonework and carvings to the inside woodwork, stain glass and stonework.

Truly beautiful.

Impressive cathedral, beautiful interior, great carrilon. It's worth the climb up the hill on foot for sure.
