We spent a couple of hours touring the gardens and the public rooms inside the house. My partner and I are both decoration and history buffs, so we took our time discovering the lovely interiors and really enjoyed ourselves. Outside, the views from the main...More

Lovely rooms and grounds to explore! I stayed for two nights in the house's B&B with my family on a trip to Ireland and it was a truly unique experience. We loved that we had the giant library (complete with roaring fire) to ourselves after...More

A must-see spot in Ireland. Straight out of a fantasy book -should really be part of Irish heritage. Old world charm and class that cannot be replaced. Really took us back to another period. Visual overload in the gardens too- absolutely stunning.

This is a real treasure. The home is still in the family of the first Earl of Bantry and you can tell how much care they put into keeping it up. The rooms are lovely, even if they’re not newly renovated but the beds are...More

A beautiful view over the bay but the weather and time have taken their vengeance on the house. Walked around the rooms that were open inside the house then out into the garden. The sunken garden was my favorite. I’m still trying to figure out...More

This is a nice place to spend a couple of hours. The House and Gardens have seen better days and would need more investment to restore them to their former glory. Nevertheless, the house is interesting and the gardens are nice.
