Myself and the wife were there last night and although the clientele where very stand offish, the staff where lovely and so was the drinks, there was a trad duo entertaining the many who were v good musicians. One regular would put u off staying for a second drink with his mouth, he had everyone on guard, but once he buggered off the whole bar seemed to relax and the atmosphere was pure Irish. Will definitely be back when passing next

Great place for a pint, cosy atmosphere, great Guinness and Irish whiskey artifacts on the walls, enjoyed the sit down in this quaint little pub like being on the set of Coronation Street or EastEnders. Recommend it for an afternoon visit for a quiet Pint of the black stuff or an Irish breakfast tea.

Guitarist Michael Carey and his young fiddler along with a pint of Guinness was the perfect memorable Irish pub experience. We sat right up front and met a friendly couple from Holland to share stories with. Slainte! Lowery’s is a must pub stop in Clifden, especially if Michael Carey is entertaining!
