I went to Lowry's on Sunday September 28, 2014 for drinks and to listen to awesome Irish music. I was there from 8pm until midnight, and the same singer in the band was going strong the whole time, and I was very happy he played my requests of songs. The bartenders provided great service keeping my Guinness filled.

We had a fantastic night in Lowry's bar whilst staying at the quay house close by. Fantastic traditional Irish music in a wonderfully cosy, warm candle lit and traditionally decorated Irish bar. The owner Damien (rumoured to be the most eligible bachelor in the west) was fantastic for tips and guidance on our trip around Connemara.

We've been at Lowry's Bar so many times now. They serve an excellent collection of Irish Craft Beers and of course lots of different Whiskeys.
Every single time we walk into Lowry's, there are some local folks helping out with advices for whatever we wan't to do. That's hospitality and good craic!
Looking forward to the next time.

Lovely traditional irish whiskey bar. I was told by a regular that the place is overun with tourists in the summer who don't really drink and just come in to take pictures?!. I can recommend spending the whole evening here sampling the menu and talking to the very friendly staff and locals. We came here often because of the atmosphere. They have live music on Fridays which starts at about 2230 and varies. In our stay the very talented local musician Richie Newman was performing.
We sampled many of the whiskeys here and enjoyed the peat distilled Connemara.

We spent an evening here with live music and had a great time together with mostly other tourists it seemed. We had a wonderful time, but in pubs that often depends on your company of course. But a very nice pub on it's own.

It was my favorite bar in all Ireland!! I felt like one of the locals, with our conversation, Guinness, and photoshoot-behind the bar as the bartender! The girls behind the bar were great and made my sisters and I feel right at home!! As did the Lads in there!!
Can’t wait to visit again!!!
