Being accused of taking drugs when u and ur group are very anti drugs is very very insulting. when I asked them do they have proof she said no but there was 1 man sleeping 🙈🙈any way it’s a pity cause it looked a good bar for us to settle for 4 r 5 pints .the rest of carrick on Shannon had no bother with us

Great pub, friendly staff, lovely pint, with excellent Traditional & Bluegrass music several nights per week. Lovely beer garden for the summer nights.

Welcoming staff beautiful beer garden relaxed atmosphere perfect place to enjoy a quiet pint.Excellent trad sessions. Highly recommend to the more hi-brow travellers passing through carrick on shannon.

One of the best pubs in Ireland. Sat afternoon, creamy pints and two music sessions. Could have stayed all night, but you know, kids an all. Definitely drop in for a pint if in Carrick.

This is one of the most friendly welcoming bars I have ever been in , wonderful staff , great music , lovely patrons . Owner very helpful . Great quality drinks , a must visit

Myself and 5 friends were in Leitrim last weekend. We headed into Carrick-on-Shannon on Shannon for a look around and stumbled across a pub called Cryans. Rumour had it there are 18 pubs in the town so we thought we would have one here and maybe try another one or two. Five hours later we were still in Cryans having had a brilliant afternoon. The draw for us was the staff and in particular Liam who made us feel so welcome as if we were locals rather than it being our 1st visit. He was so hospitable and accommodating. He even popped next door to the bakery and brought me back a fab strawberry and cream tart for my tea. My sister had a particular drink that she hadn’t tasted in over 30 years and he stood her the drink. He even gave the group a round of shots on the house.
There was a fab jazz band playing in the back room which was a great addition. The musicians were absolutely brilliant.
The locals that came in were lovely welcoming people and joined in with us having the banter.
We hated leaving but needed to eat so we went into Cryans Hotel nearby and again got a great welcome and lovely food.
A very pleasant afternoon was had by all epitomising all that is good in a well run Irish Pub.
Thank you Liam and staff for a memorable visit.

I really enjoy going to this bar when I'm in carrick on Shannon.. it always has a great atmosphere and the trad music gives it such a cosy homely feel! The staff are great very quick and attentive! Looking forward to many more nights here when I'm in carrick!

A lovely unspoilt public house, the Guinness is very good. The staff very friendly and the locals great craic. We just love it and will be back

Oh My God! This is the sort of pub that my grandparents would have felt at home at! It was small, it was homely and the trad music session going down the back of the pub was great. If you are in Carrick On Shannon and you don't stop here for a pint (or even a glass of water if you don't drink!) you're a fool! This is as authentic an Irish pub as you'll find in the country. Great staff and easy going punters who will happily talk to you.
