We visited towards the end of the arts festival in July. Well worth a visit and not overpowered by the crowds.

Across the river from Charles Fort, this fort is smaller and not "manned" so there is also no admittance cost. It's mostly a park but interesting to walk around. We spent about a hour. It's worth a visit.
