The trip is approximately 45 minutes long and you only tour around the immediate area of the marina. Based on other reviews, we expected to be treated to a bit of history of Kinsale with the captain providing the info. Instead, they play a pre-recorded message that's not very engaging, exciting or interesting. Unfortunately, the person speaking is a bit... More

The harbour tour was a slow ride clockwise once around the harbour. The views are quite lovely all around. Best to sit on the port side to get the best views and camera angles without looking over other passengers. We had no trouble hearing the recorded narration as others have mentioned, but the boat was only about half full. Definitely... More

Came across this tour while walking along the harbor. Jumped on board and were pleasantly surprised. Lots of interesting points on the narration. Very relaxing even with the kids running up and down. My heart was in my mouth at times as I fully expected one of them to disappear over board at any moment. No toilet on board but... More

We lucked out on our day trip to Kinsale, we had a perfectly beautiful, sunny day. So we hopped onto the boat and headed out on a tour of the harbor. The narration of sights provided information on everything we passed, including the fort. It was a delightful picture-perfect 45 minutes full of boats and scenic shores. Would recommend, especially... More

We went to Kinsale for the day from Cork - only 30 mins by bus or taxi. We paid E100 for a mini bus as there were 8 of us but the bus would be cheaper if there were less in your party. Nice interesting little town, with some good cafes and little shops. Attractive water front, and the harbour... More

The Kinsale Harbour Cruise brought us all around Kinsale harbour on the open roof of the boat while a guide informed us of each landmark as we passed by it, the history behind them, and all the old Irish place names. I would highly recommend this cruise as it was very scenic, very interesting, and the staff were very friendly.... More

It was a sunny if windy day, and a break from walking was in order, so several of us took the Harbour Cruise. A nice, 45 minute or so tour of the large Kinsale harbour with narration and good views of the two forts, boats coming and going, and the occasional seal.

Take them at their word, it's only a harbor tour. Great if you need to rest. It was very slow going. The views are wonderful, but it just wasn't spectacular overall. I guess I was expecting more at the price charged. Not bad, just not exciting.

A lovely day in a lovely town what more can you ask for? The Barbour tour was picturesque. However, the bathroom on this boat was permanently closed, designated as storerooms. Also, the tour narrative was a canned tape that was hard to hear. I think a revamp is in order.
