Barry knows his Kinsale history! His ancestors have lived here for generations. I have fallen in love with the beautiful little town of Kinsale. This tour is a great way to start your visit here!

Because it was off season, we had a private tour with Barry. We visited Kinsale because we saw it as a charming town with a great food scene (which it is!); however, Barry opened our eyes to all the history that was right in front...More

We booked in the off season and very much enjoyed our tour with Barry. He was very hospitable. (It rained and he rain to his car and provided us with umbrellas.) Barry was knowledgeable and generous with tips on music, pubs and restaurants.

4 of us signed up for this tour of the town and none were disappointed. Barry was very personable and tried to speak directly with each person on the tour as the time went by. As they are local they knew a lot of history...More

Got off the train and immediately found this tour leaving in a few minutes. It was the best tour we had in Ireland! Barry made us feel as though a family member was showing us around. Very interesting and humorous. History came to life. He...More

As the headline reads, this was far and away the best thing my wife and I did while in Kinsale. Barry was the leader for our group and he did an absolutely top notch job of taking us through the town and bringing the history...More

Barry did a fantastic job of presenting the history of the town, Battle of Kinsale, and the Lusitania tragedy. He went above and beyond talking about Kinsale and answered all of our questions about the country without us ever feeling rushed. He even had great...More

Barry met us in Kinsale the very first night in town and gave us a great tour. We realized everything he taught us helped tremendously for the rest of our trip. It made our time even better.

I thought it was an excellent tour. Delivered in a lighthearted way, but if you listened there was some serious history in there explaining a lot about the present Anglo/Irish situation. I was fascinated by the recanting of the story of the Kindle Giant, and...More

Have taken the tour three times while hosting different visiting guests. Both Don and Barry are fantastic guides who have mastered the art of sharing historical knowledge with storytelling.

Not sure about a website, was written up in Rick Steve’s guidebook. Cost is €8 and group size varies- we had about 20, but he carries a small amplifier. He has a big kiosk at the TI near the harbor.
