Truly Captivating, A Heavenly Irish Beach with Minor Issues
Visited Inchydoney Beach in late June and was completely enamoured by its stunning natural beauty. The expansive golden sands were a pleasure to walk on, and the breath-taking views of the Atlantic were simply mesmerising. It offered a serene ambience, ideal for some relaxation and reflection. The water, although chilly, was crystal clear - perfect for a refreshing dip on a warm day. The nearby Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa was a boon, offering the opportunity to indulge in their incredible amenities. However, I must say that the beach could get quite busy, particularly during the weekends and parking was somewhat challenging. I'd recommend visiting early in the day or on weekdays to avoid the crowd. Also, while the beach is impeccably clean, some litter was noticeable towards the dunes. It seems some visitors could do with a reminder to respect such a magnificent setting. Overall, Inchydoney Beach is worth a. visit for its striking views, and an authentic taste of Ireland's natural beauty. It loses a star only due to the parking difficulties and some minor cleanliness issues. Can't wait to return!

    A stunning beach
What a stunning beach and the views were spectacular We arrived during a week of sun ☀️ and had 3 visits, the first to find out bearing and then 2 other visits to swim. One day being amazing sunshine and the other a bit cloudy and very choppy with huge waves Lots of surfers and people on boards enjoying the waves, we just enjoyed jumping them. Was still warm enough to swim Free parking is great, a little place to grab coffee and nibbles next to the hotel which must have stunning views A real place of beauty

I have been dog walking this beach often when holidaying in west Cork. Wonderful beach but take note of large tides. 2022 Blue Beach award. No dogs on lead allowed between hours of 11am & 7pm during the summer months. Sad in a way as I have found dog owners to be very responsible amongst others using the beach considering there are very few swimmers. More conducive to surfing fraternity.

The beach is great, the part that we walked was very clear and not very rocky. There was a surf school on the beach and also a cafe near it. The views from the cliffs are beautiful. There is a small car park there too.

What an amazing beach! Lovely and quiet and goes on for miles! You can walk around the whole headland (but check the tide times first). No parking charge and you can get a coffee from the takeaway van outside the InchyDoney hotel/spa. Lovely to see people swimming and enjoying learning to surf even in September.

The beach is absolutely beautiful! The weather while I was there was cold and rainy, so I didn't stay as long as I wanted to, but it was a great place regardless. The beach is large and peaceful and clean. There are lots of cool rocks and shells too. The public bathrooms aren't in the best shape, but nice to have anyways. I will definitely be going back.

Clean sandy beach. Lifeguards on duty and seem very observant. Couple of snack vans. There's a crepe van but I think only weekends and the crepes are very tasty. Toilets and showers available. Kids spent many happy hours here.

We went on one of the rare very warm days in Ireland.
It was a Monday but it didn’t matter it was packed. An absolute zoo. Traffic jam, nightmare, tourist magnet.

Would maybe go on a rainy day but not on a sunny day.

My family and I decided to visit Inchydoney Beach while in the area. We were looking for a place to walk around after checking our the Model Railway Museum. This was a fantastic choice! The beach has a small area with sand.

This is a beautiful long beach outside Clonakilty, particularly in the sunshine. Beware of the rip tides though. There are two beaches and one can be very dangerous if swimming, don't use air beds or any of those kiddies toys.

We went for a 2 hours walk along beach which was very enjoyable. Beach spotless clean, great watching children learning to surf. Silver Surfer outside Inchydonny Hotel was a great place to get a coffee and chocolate strawberry waffle.
