History at first hand

The entire family, young and old, enjoyed this really special place. Full of history and so much prettier than the "henge"!

As a family we heard about the Temblebryan Stone Circle and had to go and see it when we were in Clonakilty recently. It is outside the town but once you enquire and get permission to view it it is easy enough to find. It is a historic place to visit and well worth a visit for young and old.

To get the feel of the area, this is another area you must visit. I cannot come up with words. It is a place you have to see and experience.

This small stone circle is actually on private land so be sure to ask permission from the landowner before you trample through the field.

This stone circle is on private land and a bit difficult to find. However, the stone circle is 4,500 years old and is really worth visiting. You have to climb over a style to get to it.

You have to scramble over a low embankment to enter the field where the circle stands and it's very easy to miss it as you drive along the road. More of a half-circle, but worth a visit anyway - the stones are pretty big, some taller than us.
